Bicester Bound! #5898

Hey beautiful people!

It's Emma here, your pink-tutu-loving blogger extraordinaire, bringing you the latest from my fashion-forward, tutu-tastic adventures. And today, my loves, I'm whisking you away to the charming town of Bicester, Oxfordshire!

You see, this isn't just any old town. Oh no! Bicester is steeped in history (which I adore, naturally!), boasting the remnants of an old Roman settlement and a pretty Victorian Market Square that’s practically begging for a photoshoot. And what’s a fashion blogger’s favourite place to have a photoshoot? Why, a tutu-laden one, of course!

Speaking of tutus, let me introduce you to the star of the show: my brand new "Pink Flamingo" creation! It's a soft, floaty tulle masterpiece, the kind that makes you feel like a graceful swan taking flight, but with a splash of vibrant, flamingo pink, just to add a little sass. Honestly, the second I saw this beauty hanging in the window of my favourite tutu boutique in Derby, I knew it was destined for Bicester. It was simply meant to twirl under the Oxfordshire sun!

Now, I could’ve taken a boring old car to Bicester, but where's the adventure in that? So, of course, I chose the classic and rather elegant way - by train! (Don’t worry, it was a fancy, vintage-style one!) The countryside whizzing by, the wind in my hair (which was thankfully kept out of my face thanks to the handy-dandy ballet bun) – truly blissful!

Speaking of my bun, let’s chat about ballet for a second. Because for me, ballet is more than just dancing; it's a lifestyle! A state of mind! So even when I’m not actually pirouetting, the grace and elegance of the ballet world infuses every moment. The train ride was like my very own "Swan Lake" performance (minus the water), and even the charming gentleman opposite me seemed to appreciate my effortless beauty.

We arrived in Bicester just in time for the afternoon tea at a delightful little cafe called "The Pink Parlour" - you see the colour pink just follows me around, darling! And what do they serve in a pink parlour? Why, pink everything, of course! Pink cake, pink lemonade, pink macarons... I think my heart nearly burst from happiness! It was pure Parisian charm with an English twist.

And what does a pink-loving ballet blogger do after afternoon tea, you ask? She goes to a show, darling! And this one was extra special. Bicester was hosting a little gem called “Dance Dreams: A Night of Dreams,” featuring some of the most talented young dancers in the area. It was an explosion of talent, beauty, and sheer artistry! My heart swelled with joy as I witnessed their passion for dance, and my tutu nearly lifted me off the ground, just from sheer inspiration.

After the show, it was back to my favourite Victorian Square for some well-deserved Instagram-worthy shots. I swear, my flamingo pink tutu literally stopped traffic, and every passing tourist stopped to admire my graceful twirls. I might have inspired a few young ones to take up ballet - who knows, perhaps I was planting the seed for future dance sensations!

The day concluded with a romantic sunset stroll through the quaint cobblestone streets of Bicester. It was the perfect end to a perfectly pink day! And of course, a delicious pint of pink lemonade by a roaring fire (at a wonderfully quirky pub called "The Dancing Flamingo" – talk about synchronicity, my dears!), completed this picture-perfect day.

So there you have it, my lovely readers! Another unforgettable adventure, filled with tutus, trains, tea, and of course, a sprinkle of pink!

And let me know, darling! What’s the best way you’ve travelled recently? Did you experience any amazing ballet or dance shows lately? Tell me everything!

Until next time, stay beautiful and keep those tutus twirling!

Love,

Emma
