Boston Bound in a Bountiful Tutu! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’–

Oh my darlings, I'm simply bursting with excitement to tell you all about my recent escapade to the vibrant city of Boston! As you know, I adore travelling, and this trip was no exception. This time, I decided to embark on a truly romantic adventure, ditching the modern-day transport and opting for a leisurely journey by train, arriving in the city with the most fabulous, voluminous pink tutu you've ever seen!

Honestly, I think this might just be my favourite tutu yet. It's a confection of frills, layers and a whole lotta love, billowing like a pink cloud around me. It was so delightfully cumbersome getting on and off the train with this majestic creation, but absolutely worth every bump and shuffle! It's amazing how the right tutu can instantly make a journey feel so much more fabulous, wouldn't you say?

But Boston wasn't just about tutus, darling! The city itself is a real charmer. cobblestone streets, charming buildings and enough delicious lobster bisque to keep you in a warm, pink glow for weeks! And let me tell you, my dear readers, Boston truly is the city for those who love ballet. The city is brimming with renowned ballet companies, fantastic studios and, oh, the glorious dance shows! I must tell you about my favourite: The Nutcracker in the beautiful and historical Boston Opera House. The stage lights sparkled like diamonds, the music swept me away, and the costumes... let's just say, they had the pinkiest pointe shoes I've ever seen!

Speaking of pointe shoes, my dearest, I absolutely had to visit the renowned dance store Boston Ballet Footwear, where I finally treated myself to a brand new pair. The feel of soft leather and satin, oh the thrill of choosing the perfect fit! Of course, they were pink, wouldn't you expect anything less? After all, when it comes to tutus and shoes, I'm a true believer in living life in technicolour!

I also got a little bit of ballet in my very own little toes during my trip, too! A couple of delightful mornings were spent at The Boston Ballet School. Oh, the pure joy of leaping and twirling with fellow dancers, learning from master teachers in their hallowed halls.

Now, this little trip wasn't just about my beloved ballet, darling. No, I always find myself drawn to the wonders of wildlife too. And I can tell you, Boston has some incredible hidden gems tucked away! The Boston Public Garden was a perfect spot to relax with a picnic amongst a riot of flowers, watch ducks paddling in the glistening pond and admire the incredible swan boats gliding along. It's a fairytale setting, you know, all those emerald green trees and dainty bridges, perfect for twirling! I think it's my new favourite spot in Boston, a hidden sanctuary for my heart and soul.

And, you've simply got to know my other favourite discovery โ€“ the Boston Childrenโ€™s Museum! This museum, brimming with interactive fun for young minds (and let's face it, all ages!), captivated me completely. The creativity, laughter and endless wonder made my heart sing. Honestly, if I had a little girl (or a little boy!), they'd never leave that museum! The exhibits were delightful; giant interactive play structures that reminded me of climbing a colourful, soft sculpture in a dreamscape. I spent hours giggling as I raced through tunnels and jumped in ball pits, just feeling like a playful child again. They say the best things in life are simple โ€“ and perhaps a trip to a fun museum reminds us of this.

I had the absolute best time in Boston. But just before my train journey home, my darlings, I experienced one more absolutely unforgettable event - a true stroke of luck, wouldn't you say? Imagine my surprise and joy, after a lovely little coffee break (I do like my coffee in a pink china cup, wouldn't you?), when I wandered across a ballet-themed market just happening in the square. I felt like I had been whisked into another world!

There were so many gorgeous, vintage tutus; pink, of course, along with lavender, silver, a rainbow of colours to make my little heart swoon! And then there was the gorgeous lady who made the most extraordinary shoes, hand-stitched with lace, sparkling with sequins... the most beautiful things, perfect for every dancerโ€™s wish. I purchased a magnificent little ballet shoe charm in the shape of a ballerina's foot, all twinkling pink and adorned with sparkling silver sequins โ€“ a real showstopper!

This was my beautiful Boston trip โ€“ a wonderful ballet, pink, sparkly adventure full of delightful discovery, lovely treats, the kind of joy that warms you right to your toes. As you know, dear reader, I believe that life's too short for boring beige. My philosophy is, let's bring more pink tutus, sunshine, and playful dancing into the world, shall we?

Until next time, my darling readers, I wish you all love, joy and twirls!

Yours truly, Emma x www.pink-tutu.com
