Scarborough Calling! 🩰

Oh, darlings, it's been a whirlwind of a week! The February air is crisp and invigorating, perfect for a dash of pink, don't you think? I'm writing this from a quaint little café in Scarborough, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee swirling around me like the whispers of a beautiful ballet. Speaking of ballet, I've just finished the most delightful performance at the beautiful Stephen Joseph Theatre - pure magic, simply divine!

Now, let's rewind a little... This past week was a complete dream! A long train journey through the rolling Derbyshire countryside was the perfect start to my weekend adventure. It's a joy to feel the wind whipping through my hair and watching the landscape blur into a tapestry of green and gold. Did I mention my fabulously fluffy, blush pink scarf was perfectly matched to the rosy hue of the setting sun? Chic, eh?

Arriving in Scarborough, the town embraced me with a seaside breeze, a splash of salty air, and a charming collection of colourful beach huts. I couldn't resist grabbing a handful of pastel-coloured seashells for my collection – just the perfect finishing touch for my pink-tutu-themed craft project, which, of course, I’ll share on Instagram later!

I knew my trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The incredible energy and grace of the animals mesmerized me! There was something deeply beautiful and empowering about observing these majestic creatures in their natural environment. It's funny how ballet often reflects nature – graceful movements, delicate balance, strength and elegance… pure artistry! I was even lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the magnificent Amur tigers – their powerful strides echoed the grandeur of a prima ballerina, and their tawny stripes whispered tales of hidden beauty.

Later, I donned my favourite, oh-so-pink, ruffled tutu and a vintage bolero, all perfectly coordinated with the softest rose blush lipstick. It felt like the most natural thing in the world! You know how much I love incorporating my passion for ballet into everything I do. The evening, my dears, was an absolute joy. The Stephen Joseph Theatre welcomed me with open arms – the red velvet seats and ornate chandeliers truly transformed the space into a wonderland of magic. I practically flew through the air as I watched the talented dancers pirouette and leap, their movements capturing my heart and igniting my own inner ballerina! And guess what? There's this charming little dance shop around the corner called "Pink Steps" – isn't it delightful? – where I snagged a pair of dazzlingly pink ballet shoes for myself! I simply cannot wait to break them in during my next dance class – they are, without a doubt, the epitome of whimsical grace and are perfectly fitting for my own upcoming performance.

Now, I know some of you are wondering about my big dream – getting everyone to embrace a touch of pink tutu magic in their lives! And I’m thrilled to say that it's gaining momentum. Imagine a world where every girl (and boy, why not?) feels empowered and confident in their own skin! The world is your stage, my darlings. Let’s celebrate the joy of movement, the thrill of creative expression, and, of course, the absolute splendour of a well-placed, beautifully pink tutu!

I must confess, as I gaze out from my table, a soft, rosy blush illuminates the horizon, painting the clouds in hues of pink and lilac. It seems that even Mother Nature is embracing my pink-tutu mantra.

It's late, darlings. I've got a long journey ahead of me back to Derbyshire tomorrow, and I wouldn’t miss my favourite morning ballet class for the world! It’s filled with energy and camaraderie. Plus, my teacher always plays the most fabulous tunes. I’ll be back with a post about it soon. But for now, may your dreams be filled with twirls and graceful movements, and remember – never underestimate the power of a little bit of pink and a whole lot of passion! Until next time, darling!

Love always,
Emma 🩰💖
