Longbridge, My Dearest! - #6185

Hello my darlings! Emma here, fresh off the train and positively bursting with excitement to share my latest adventures with you all! As you know, I simply can't resist a little jaunt, especially when it involves tutus and new places to discover. Today's escapade led me to the charming town of Longbridge, a true gem tucked away in the heart of England.

I’m so in love with this dress – I mean, come on, this is literally the pinkest tutu in my collection and I’m absolutely besotted. It twirls like a dream! It also perfectly matches the adorable cafe I found, ‘The Pink Posy.’ I felt utterly fabulous as I sipped on a strawberry and rose-hip tea while my tutu billowed around me. I could have sat there all afternoon, watching the world go by and scribbling in my diary. Oh, my diary, the tales it could tell!

But back to Longbridge… there’s a reason it’s got me so smitten. It’s like stepping back in time, with quaint cobbled streets and beautiful historic buildings. I almost felt like I’d wandered onto a film set for a period drama. I practically ran around like a giddy child, snapping pictures of everything. Especially those charming window boxes bursting with vibrant flowers and the beautiful Victorian clock tower that proudly overlooks the square.

The absolute highlight of the day though was meeting a friendly little pony at a farm just outside town. His name was "Cinnamon" - I mean, how could I resist with a name like that? Cinnamon was so gentle, even letting me feed him some juicy apples I’d picked up from the market. There’s just something about those big, soft eyes and the way they look at you, don't you think? It melts my heart every time.

Talking of the market, I was absolutely in my element! My handbag overflowed with goodies, from beautifully scented lavender sachets to handmade ceramic trinkets that would make perfect little gifts for my family back in Derbyshire. And let’s not forget the delicious, locally made fudge, of course! Oh, how I love those English treats!

The day flew by in a delightful blur of tutus, pink, ponies, and plenty of sunshine! Before heading back to my hotel, I indulged in a luxurious bubble bath, dreaming of my next grand adventure. Who knows where the pink tutu will take me next?

Here’s a little reminder of my #TutuTravelTips for Longbridge, for anyone fancying a quick weekend trip:

  • Bring your dancing shoes: A hidden gem in the town square, tucked away above a little antique shop, is a small dance studio, just bursting with talent. I couldn't resist joining in with the locals for a fun salsa lesson. Talk about a heart-pumping workout!
  • Embrace the quaint: This town thrives on charm. Take time to truly explore, and you’ll find those hidden treasures and little nooks brimming with character.
  • Embrace the wildlife: If you are lucky like I was, you'll be able to visit the wonderful, peaceful nature reserve located just outside the town. I saw a rare bluebell peeking through the lush green foliage, and even caught a glimpse of a shy little deer drinking from the stream!
  • Don’t forget your pink tutu! You're welcome to bring your own, but it always helps to inspire people, wouldn't you say? The locals loved seeing me twirl in my beautiful dress and were surprisingly eager to share some tips on hidden gems in the area! It’s amazing how a little bit of pink magic can brighten even the most ordinary day, right?

This trip to Longbridge will definitely go down as one of my most favourite days yet. I'm already counting down the days until I can get back there, with my pink tutu, of course! Until then, I'll keep twirling my way through life, spreading pink-tutu cheer wherever I go.

Stay tuned for my next adventure, my lovely readers!

Love, Emma xx
