Hey lovelies!
Aberdeen! Itās the beautiful Granite City and Iām absolutely smitten. My trusty pink tutu and I took a scenic train ride here yesterday, my favourite way to travel. It was so calming, watching the countryside fly by, the sheep baa-ing in their fields, all just a beautiful green blur. And you know, there was this cheeky little squirrel that popped up by the window, his bushy tail waving, totally stealing the show. šæļø Iāve been dreaming about this trip since I saw a programme about the stunning beaches here in my little pink-tutu reading corner at home. Pink has been such a big inspiration lately, not only for my wardrobe choices, but also my ballet routines! I even snagged this adorable baby pink, beaded tutu in Florence a couple of weeks ago, and, oh my goodness, it just screams Italy! Think shimmering silk and a burst of pink ā truly, a vision. š
Speaking of ballet, I actually took a class this morning, which was a brilliant way to kick off the day! They even had a fabulous window with a view of the sea, I nearly forgot to move my feet just looking at it. The teacher, a lovely woman named Fiona, gave me some really great tips on improving my pirouettes - itās something Iāve always struggled with! I'm not sure Iāve ever spun this gracefully before. I swear I can almost hear a chorus of ābravissimos' and ābravos' all around! š It must have been the beautiful scenery though - letās blame it on that. And of course, what could be better than a good pirouette than, oh, a perfectly timed landing with a dramatic flounce of your pink tulle. Pure ballet perfection! š©°
There's a big ballet show happening this weekend and Iām already in full tutu planning mode! This show is set to feature some of the most incredible, internationally renowned dancers and a special guest star who even used to be my ballet idol. I swear I must have had every one of his performance posters stuck up in my bedroom, as a young aspiring dancer. I just know that, during this performance, he will show a whole new meaning to the art of dance and will inspire a generation. But I digress, what will I wear? My mindās a whirlwind of ideas right now. A classic pink, a glittering pink, a neon pink? Decisions, decisionsā¦
I must confess that since arriving here, Aberdeen has truly stolen my heart. There's so much charm and history packed into this little corner of Scotland. The historic architecture is a sight to behold, with buildings in these warm honey colours just standing majestically against the brilliant blue sky. It makes me want to twirl through the streets, like a ballerina with a penchant for time travel. š I am hoping to catch a horse-drawn carriage to the theatre for the big ballet night out. Itās the most elegant, luxurious way to travel in style, and with this magnificent horse-drawn chariot pulling me through Aberdeenās iconic streets, all eyes will be on this gorgeous pink tutu of mine. š
Later today, I'm exploring Aberdeenās buzzing centre, a perfect way to feel the pulse of this exciting city. After that, Iām on a mission to find the best Aberdeen seafood, especially oysters! There's just something about fresh seafood, with its salty air, that makes me want to celebrate the day with a cheeky glass of bubbly (maybe two) - because, hey, when in Scotland!š„ Of course, it wouldnāt be complete without some more delightful Scottish tunes! Whatās better than some lively, soulful bagpipes and a traditional jig to bring my Aberdeen adventures to a fabulous conclusion! š¶
If Iām honest, there's something really quite magical about the world of ballet. The grace, the dedication, the story in every step and twirl - I adore it. You know, thereās nothing quite like wearing your heart on your tutu. š
Lovelies, remember my aim is to get everyone, everywhere, wearing a pink tutu and dancing, even just a little bit, because why not?! Every twirl, every grand jetĆ©, is a celebration of the amazing life that's a big, pink tutu twirl away. It's time to embrace our inner ballet star, and twirl with all our might! š
