Gloucester: Tutu and Twigs! 🩰🌿

Hello my darling dancers! 👋 It's your girl Emma here, back with another dazzling dose of pink-tutu goodness, this time straight from the picturesque streets of Gloucester! (This is post number 6225, by the way - who knew I'd have written this many?! 💖). I've had a glorious time exploring this charming city, and, naturally, I couldn't resist adding a little bit of pink-tutu magic to the mix. Let me tell you, dear readers, Gloucestershire is a perfect place for a tutu-wearing lady like me.

As you know, I’m always seeking new adventures and new ways to spread the pink-tutu love, so a quick trip to Gloucester was the perfect way to embrace both! I took a romantic ride down from Derbyshire on the train - the view was breathtaking, and it gave me time to fully enjoy my own personal soundtrack of Vivaldi’s "Four Seasons" on repeat! 😉.

Now, when I think of Gloucester, the first image that pops into my head is the grand cathedral. It’s a stunning landmark, wouldn’t you agree? I’ve always found cathedrals incredibly awe-inspiring. They’re like gigantic pieces of art, full of history and beauty, and there’s just something magical about the air inside. After wandering around the cathedral for a bit, I treated myself to a lovely afternoon tea with the finest selection of cakes – it felt so fitting for the occasion! There's a quaintness about Gloucester that I truly enjoyed; the kind of town that reminds you to slow down, take a deep breath, and savour the moment.

Gloucester also has a really special relationship with wildlife. The city boasts a lovely nature reserve called Robinswood Hill, which boasts the most breathtaking views across the countryside. I have to tell you, this is where I decided it was the perfect setting for a tutu-themed wildlife photo shoot. (Think, "Tutu and Twigs", if you will, my dearest dancers! 😉). Just imagine: the majestic oak trees, the whisper of the wind in the leaves, and my pink tulle floating through it all! Swoon!

Now, you may be wondering what kind of tutu I chose for this occasion? Why, my "Fairy Forest" tutu, of course! It’s made of the softest pink tulle, delicately adorned with hand-painted flower petals. Honestly, it was practically made for nature! It was an absolutely stunning spectacle, and I am very much looking forward to sharing my beautiful photos with you very soon! You can follow me on Instagram, @EmmaPinkTutu, for a sneak peek! 😊

And what would a trip to Gloucester be without indulging in a visit to the National Waterways Museum? Honestly, you could have knocked me down with a feather! The museum was an absolute treat! I adore learning about the past, and there’s something about those traditional narrow boats that always takes me back to my childhood – just the kind of fun memories that make life sweet.

My darling dancers, this is your official call to embrace all things pink and all things tutu! Get yourself out to a local dance class. Learn a few pirouettes, do a graceful leap, and let your spirit soar like a pink-tutu fairy! It’s good for your body, mind, and soul – and it will undoubtedly add some much-needed sparkle to your life! Remember, if you want something, then just go out there and do it, don’t be afraid! 💖

Of course, I couldn't leave Gloucester without sampling a little local culinary delight. The Gloucestershire Old Spot sausages at "The Pig & Apple" were absolutely divine - all those little juicy bits of heaven wrapped in a perfectly seasoned casing - pure bliss!

I know what you're thinking, my lovely readers. You want me to tell you my absolute favorite thing about Gloucester! So here it is: Gloucester’s people! They’re so warm, welcoming, and friendly. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel like I was a part of their community. The joy I found in these kind and gentle interactions, that's something I’ll hold dear.

I hope you've enjoyed this little glimpse into my trip to Gloucester. I, of course, wouldn’t dream of leaving you hanging. You can see a beautiful album of my time in Gloucester on my website, www.pink-tutu.com. Don't forget to head over there to have a browse, my lovely readers! You'll see more photos from my little photoshoot and a glimpse of my very stylish pink outfit, so there's plenty to discover!

My darlings, if you've ever considered coming to Gloucester, I urge you to add it to your list of places to explore. It's a real gem, full of surprises, laughter, and lovely people.

Until next time, keep twirling, stay sassy, and remember, the world looks a whole lot better in pink!

Sending love and a flurry of pink tutus your way,

Emma 💖
