Crosby Calling! - TutuBlog Post #6324

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, fresh off the train from a glorious trip to the beautiful coastal town of Crosby. Oh, Crosby! I can't say enough about this charming little spot. You know me, I love finding the most unique places to explore and this town did not disappoint! It was like stepping into a postcard with its quaint cobblestone streets, seaside air, and of course, the most delightful seaside walks!

Now, I can't let a trip pass without at least one good Tutu moment, can I? So, I packed my favourite feather tutu, the one with the shimmering pink accents that make you feel like a fairytale princess! I simply couldn't resist wearing it for a spin by the water.

Imagine: a freshly-blown sea breeze ruffling the delicate feathers of my tutu as I danced along the promenade, my pink ballet shoes making a rhythmic click clack on the pavement. The sun, a rosy ball in the sky, painted the sea in shades of orange and gold, while seagulls soared overhead like elegant ballerinas. Pure magic, I tell you!

The local community was so friendly. They were mesmerized watching my little dance. Everyone was in a wonderful, holiday mood! A sweet old lady even stopped to tell me how much my dancing reminded her of the “ballet" they used to have on the promenade back in her day! So charming!

After my dance, I indulged in a scrumptious lunch of fish and chips on the pier. I swear, they taste better by the sea, don't you think? While I munched, I watched the tide roll in, bringing with it all sorts of beautiful shells and curious little crabs. This beach was like a giant natural stage, and I couldn't resist grabbing a couple of seashells to take home and add to my little seaside collection.

As the afternoon unfolded, I wandered down a cobbled street lined with sweet little shops. Oh, the temptations! There was a shop filled with handmade ceramics, a sweet little deli selling locally-sourced delights, and even a boutique where I found a gorgeous pair of pink ballet shoes with intricate floral embroidery. I couldn't leave without adding them to my collection.

My adventure in Crosby wasn't all about boutiques and seaside walks though. You know how much I love my animals, so a little trip to the nearby Antony Gormley installation, "Another Place," was an absolute must. It was truly awe-inspiring! Hundreds of iron figures standing out in the water. I love how art and nature collide. The sculptures gave a whole new perspective on this part of the coast.

Even though I couldn't take a class, I made sure I still practiced my pliés by the shore, the crashing waves making an excellent rhythmic accompaniment to my dance. I even practiced some turns under the watchful eye of a lone seagull who seemed quite intrigued by my dance moves. It's important to practice, even when you are on holiday!

You see, my loves, it isn't just the beautiful locations and the gorgeous sights that make a place special. It’s the little moments, the connections you make, the feeling of wonder you embrace. That's why I always urge you to step outside your comfort zone, wear that pink tutu and take a leap into something new. You never know where it might take you. Maybe, it’s a seaside town full of charm and friendly faces!

Before I end this post, I just have to say a HUGE thank you to all my lovely followers on www.pink-tutu.com. You all inspire me to keep on exploring and dancing, spreading pink tutu joy everywhere I go. Remember to leave your thoughts about this lovely seaside town below in the comments, I’d love to hear from you all!

Stay chic and twirl-tastic!

Love, Emma xx
