Good morning darlings! It's Emma here, and today I'm in lovely, lively Prestwich. Yes, my adventures are taking me further afield and I couldn't be more thrilled. A stiff breeze in my hair and the smell of freshly baked pastries filling the air - it's simply divine. I arrived in Prestwich just yesterday after a delightful train journey through the rolling hills of the North West. I confess I felt a bit like a modern day Jane Eyre, especially as I was nestled snugly in my favourite pink shawl - you know the one, with the gorgeous sparkly fringe. My trusty tutu case was nestled between my feet, and it's always such a comforting feeling, like it's my little secret, a promise of elegant movements to come.

Now, as a proper ballet ballerina, you might expect me to jet around the world by plane, but I can't tell you how much I adore a good train journey. It's all about the leisurely pace, taking in the landscape and the changing seasons. This train journey was a treat, too. I saw fluffy lambs in a field, a cheeky squirrel scuttling through a tree, and even a peacock with a gloriously puffed up tail! Honestly, sometimes I just feel so very blessed.

Prestwich has definitely stolen a little bit of my heart. It's like stepping back in time, in the best way possible. Cobbled streets, quirky shops, and an air of tranquility that makes my soul sigh. This morning, I had the most divine croissant and a cup of tea at a little café tucked away in a charming alleyway. My fingers are still slightly sticky with sugar, and my heart is filled with sunshine. It really did feel like a dream.

But speaking of dreams, tonight I have something really special planned. It's an intimate ballet performance in the village hall, tucked away just off the high street. This is a unique event organised by a lovely local dance group, and the theme is, you guessed it, The Enchanted Forest. I'm absolutely positively brimming with excitement. It's the perfect setting, isn't it? The beauty of nature with the elegance of ballet? It's magical just thinking about it!

I must confess, my darling readers, I've been a little naughty in choosing my tutu for this performance. Now, it might not be the most conventional ballet tutu, but you know me - always going for that little extra, that unexpected twist! It's a dazzling, sparkly affair, in a rich magenta hue. The design is inspired by the beautiful blooming rhododendrons I saw during my train journey yesterday. I know I shouldn't boast, but it’s positively spectacular and I have a feeling it's going to make quite a splash.

And, I know what you're thinking! Does it mean my favourite pink tutu is going to be retired? Absolutely not! No way, my lovely tutu is just as dear to my heart as ever, it just has a friend, and who knows what colours we might wear together in the future! The possibilities are truly endless and I just love the fun of having choices.

Before I get swept away in my preparations for tonight, I wanted to share something that has really made me smile this week. I bumped into a charming couple at a local bookstore. We got chatting about dance, and I just felt this amazing connection! Now, you see, these dear souls had never been to a ballet performance before! Can you imagine?! I quickly decided I must do something about this! With a twinkle in my eye, I invited them to the performance in the village hall tonight. I'm just waiting for their response, fingers crossed, but they seemed positively delighted, and I couldn't be more excited. It's truly wonderful to introduce the magic of dance to new souls!

As the afternoon sun bathes Prestwich in a soft glow, I know that I’m just beginning to uncover all the lovely treasures that this village has to offer. But I know, without a doubt, that the highlight of the evening will be the ballet. My tutu is ready, my hair is styled in the prettiest, twirliest braid and I can’t wait for tonight’s show to begin!

For my lovely readers out there, this week's pink-tutu challenge is simple: step into the local community hall or theatre this week and watch a performance. Be it amateur, professional, a children’s show, a play or a concert. You never know what magical experiences you might find, and how these experiences will brighten your day!

As always, let me know your thoughts and adventures on www.pink-tutu.com

Until tomorrow, my darlings!

Much love,

Emma
