Crewe Calling! 🩰 🚂

Hey lovelies!

Emma here, back with another instalment of the Pink Tutu chronicles! I'm feeling super excited about this one because I'm finally on the road again! Post number 6538 on the books, and let me tell you, it's a corker. 😉

Today, it's a train journey to Crewe. It’s not quite the glam Parisian escapade I usually whip up for you, but Crewe has got a certain charm. It’s all brickwork and cobblestones, a bit like a charming old aunt, you know, full of character, a little bit rough around the edges but with a heart of gold. And honestly, train travel just feels right, doesn't it? Watching the countryside go by, feeling the gentle sway of the carriage - it's like ballet for the soul. (And way less pressure to plie!)

Now, I couldn’t let myself just leave the house without the right attire for a day out in Crewe. Obviously, the outfit had to feature pink. We all know I have a penchant for a certain shade! Today's outfit features my brand new, super sassy, sky blue tutu! I'm talking a whole lotta poof and sparkle, perfect for attracting the eye. I paired it with a crisp white blouse - I mean, we have to be sophisticated! It’s my way of adding a bit of fairy tale magic to this little train journey, and as always, my trusty, trusty pink ballerina pumps! Because let’s face it, you can't just waltz through life in flip flops.

As always, there are exciting plans for the day. The most important thing about travelling, besides the travel itself, is the ballet of course. So Crewe here we come. Tonight, we're headed to the Lyceum Theatre, for a performance of Giselle by the Royal Ballet - which, I think, I will be dancing along to from the very front row. I am quite the critic, after all. I've got my theatre bag packed and it is literally brimming with tissues (for all the emotional climaxes!) and of course, the good old fashion magazine, you never know what's going to inspire the next tutu idea.

After the show, we’re headed to a local cafe called the Sugar Plum (the names, they just speak to me!), which I've been told serves the most amazing pink iced lattes - my weakness, right there! Let's be honest, who could resist a drink as pretty as it is delicious? The pink tutu girl just loves all things pink! I've got a sneaking suspicion that my camera will be snapping furiously as soon as we're settled. There is nothing more inspirational to me than pink icing. The next time you see a beautiful rose, think of my pink iced latte. It is divine!

This isn't the first time I’ve found myself charmed by the allure of a charming town like Crewe. But just like in ballet, every performance is different. There's always something new to discover, something magical to take away. In between my adventures in dance and the pink delights of a creameried latte, I'm already picturing myself twirling down the streets. A quick spin here, a pose there... maybe I'll even inspire a few people to embrace the magic of tutus.

My mission in life you see, is to get everyone in the world, wearing a pink tutu and getting into dance classes, you heard it here first. I don't want to brag, but so far, it's going rather well.

For me, ballet is more than just a dance - it’s an expression of who we are, what we feel. Whether you're spinning across a stage, gracefully gliding on a train or simply twirling in your living room, it's all a part of the beauty that ballet embodies. And with every performance, every step, I’m spreading that message of beauty, joy, and the joy of being completely, totally, unashamedly ourselves!

And, you know, there is something deeply empowering about embracing our femininity. Maybe it's that little twirl at the end, the sense of freedom that comes with wearing something so unabashedly beautiful, or maybe it’s just the simple joy of being a ballet fanatic and the pleasure it gives to everyone. I truly believe that wearing pink, rocking the tutus, and, oh, maybe even a little bit of glitter in your life makes us stronger, bolder, and better.

So what are you waiting for? Put on your most fab tutu, find a mirror and practice your arabesque, get out into the world, twirl, and be the best version of YOU!

And stay tuned for all my adventures right here, at www.pink-tutu.com, the same time, every day!

Love and twirls,

Emma xoxo. 🩰💕
