Barnet Bound: Tutu Time & Train Travels! ๐๐
Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-tastic blogger Emma, back with post number 6597! Today's adventure? A trip to Barnet in my emerald green tutu! Yes, you heard that right, green! I'm branching out, but don't worry, pink is still my heart's true love.
But before I dive into the gloriousness of today's escapades, let me tell you a little secret: I have a new, deep and abiding love. Trains! ๐ They're so romantic, elegant, and whisper tales of forgotten times. Just imagine me, sipping tea from a dainty bone china cup, looking out the window in my tutu, the wind whipping through my hair - sheer perfection! (Except, you know, not wearing my tutu on a train.. That would just be bizarre, wouldn't it?)
Speaking of perfection, the emerald tutu itself is a dream. You know me and my love of colour, so a pop of green felt right for this journey. Itโs a shimmery, vibrant green with tiny sequin hearts, which felt particularly fitting because, as you'll see, I met some heart-stealers today! ๐
But back to the train. My adventure began in Derbyshire, and after a delightfully smooth journey, I arrived at my destination, a charming station with a cute little cafe. I indulged in a hot chocolate and a scrumptious Victoria sponge cake - pure heaven! My stomach happy and my soul already dancing, I made my way to Barnet's lovely town centre.
The sunshine was glorious, the sky a breathtaking blue. My green tutu practically bounced with delight as I made my way to the heart of the town. It was a picture-perfect summer day for a tutu twirl!
I wandered through the shops, admired the charming architecture, and took a little detour through a picturesque park. The air was full of birdsong and laughter, a gentle breeze ruffling my skirt. My green tutu was a perfect canvas for a sunny afternoon, catching the light and drawing smiles from passers-by. It was like a little fairy tale, I tell you! โจ
Then, I spotted something truly extraordinary... a wildlife sanctuary! I knew in an instant I had to pay it a visit. A haven for creatures great and small, the sanctuary was bursting with feathered friends and fuzzy critters. There were penguins! Penguins in Barnet! ๐ง The sight was so unexpected it made my heart skip a beat! I stood in awe, admiring their waddling and splashing antics. Honestly, they were the most elegant penguin troupe I've ever seen!
This wonderful encounter with nature was a perfect ending to a day filled with beauty and delightful surprises.
The best part of Barnet though, my darlings? It's a hidden gem for ballet! There's a fantastic ballet studio right in the town centre, run by the most lovely lady called Mrs. Kensington. She welcomed me with a warm smile and a cup of chamomile tea (so wonderfully civilised, wouldn't you agree?). Sheโs a firm believer in making ballet accessible for everyone and encourages everyone to join in - no matter their age or ability. Her passion is truly inspiring.
While Mrs. Kensington took me on a tour of the studio, I shared my dreams of inspiring everyone to wear a pink tutu and give ballet a whirl. She loved the idea! I could tell we're going to be friends! And who knows? Maybe she'll even have her classes in pink tutus soon! ๐
After a lovely visit, I couldnโt leave without trying a few moves in the beautiful, sunlit studio! Mrs. Kensington even joined me in a little arabesque โ it was magical! It felt wonderful to be moving in a graceful way in that charming little studio in Barnet.
Barnet! You've truly stolen my heart! You are a treasure trove of magic, hidden in the bustle of London! I hope youโll join me for more exciting adventures as we head back towards London. Itโs been a truly spectacular journey! And remember, darling, lifeโs too short to be anything but extraordinary, so letโs keep spinning and shining!
Stay beautiful,
Emma
