Cheshunt Calling! Tutu Adventures Continue...

Hello darlings! It's your favourite tutu-loving traveller, Emma, reporting live from Cheshunt! Now, I know what you're thinking: "Cheshunt? What on earth is there to do in Cheshunt?" Well, hold onto your tiaras, my lovelies, because this little corner of Hertfordshire has surprised me in the best way possible!

This journey started with a gentle clip-clop on the train (what else?), a rather splendid carriage draped in sunshine, and a whole lot of anticipation for the afternoon ahead.

My tutu of choice today? Oh, this darling is a true masterpiece! A swirling, multi-layered American-style tulle, adorned with pink feather boas, a touch of gold sparkle around the waistband, and the most gloriously vibrant pink ribbon bow that you've ever seen! I couldn't resist adding a matching pink feathered headband and, naturally, my trusty ballet shoes. Because let's face it, a girl's got to be prepared for impromptu pirouettes, even on the train to Cheshunt, right? 😉

Now, onto the adventure! We're not talking cobbled streets or fancy theatres today, though I wouldn't mind a little bit of that too, darling! We're in Cheshunt, and that means...wildlife! That's right, my darlings, today's destination is the magnificent Cheshunt Wildlife Park. Honestly, I was expecting your average, everyday collection of ducks and peacocks. But this place, this was something else entirely.

We're greeted by a charmingly enthusiastic chap in a bright green waistcoat who just had to tell us all about the latest feathered arrivals - a family of stunning parrots with the most vivid plumage imaginable. They were like living rainbows! My heart melted. Then, off we trotted, exploring the enclosures. They've got everything from mischievous monkeys swinging from branches (oh, the acrobatics!) to fluffy llamas with the sweetest faces.

Of course, no wildlife encounter would be complete without a cheeky squirrel, so we shared a delicious picnic on a shady bench with this little scamp. He was just so curious and adorable, we had to make sure he had some crumbs to snack on.

And the best part of it all? Imagine this: picture a stunning lake reflecting the azure sky, a graceful white swan gliding across the water, and guess what else is there... you guessed it! A graceful ballerina doing the pas de deux with this magnificent creature, in her vibrant pink tutu. That, my lovelies, was me. (Well, almost. The swan stayed well away from the pirouettes, but I'm sure we were both happy about that.)

The Cheshunt Wildlife Park may not be a traditional ballet scene, but trust me, the beauty of it all resonated with every twist, turn, and grand jeté. It’s a reminder that elegance and artistry exist in the most unexpected places – even a little park on the outskirts of London.

Speaking of elegance, my darlings, the best thing about this whole trip was that, just like those dazzling parrots, there were splashes of pink everywhere. From the floral arrangements by the entrance to the little pink teacup in the gift shop, I felt like I'd stumbled upon my very own fairytale!

Later that evening, back in Derbyshire, I settled into my pink-tutu adorned chaise lounge (it's a must-have, dear readers, it truly elevates any living room!) with a steaming cup of Earl Grey and a good book. It's these moments of simple bliss that fuel my creativity. As the sunset painted the sky in vibrant hues of lavender and orange, my thoughts started drifting. And guess what popped into my head?

A new Tutu-tiful challenge! I challenge you, dear readers, to share with me a photo of yourself embracing pink and celebrating the unexpected! It could be a pink lipstick selfie, a photo of your pet perched upon a fluffy pink cushion, a wildflower meadow ablaze with pinks... Anything that makes your heart sing and brings a little bit of the whimsical into your life. Don’t forget to tag it #pinktutuinspired!

And remember, darling, it doesn’t matter where you are – in a busy city centre, on a picturesque countryside walk, or at your local wildlife park – you can always find a little magic when you’re wearing a tutu. The world is your stage, darling. So, twirl your way through life, and don’t be afraid to make it a pink masterpiece. Until next time, keep on twirling!

Emma xoxo
