Newbury - A Tutu-licious Trip! πŸ©°πŸ’–

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to Newbury! I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had – I just had to squeeze in this little getaway. My tutu life just wouldn't be the same without some spontaneous adventure, right? πŸ˜‰

Now, Newbury is a beautiful town, you know, nestled in Berkshire. It's like stepping into a quaint, idyllic English village with those lovely cobblestone streets and charming tea rooms, the perfect spot to grab a scone and a pot of tea! I found myself completely smitten with the picturesque setting. The sunshine, the cobblestones, the smell of freshly cut grass – it was magical!

I was actually visiting Newbury to catch a performance at the Newbury Corn Exchange. You guys know I'm a massive fan of ballet, so when I heard they were putting on a production of "Giselle" with the amazing Birmingham Royal Ballet, I just had to get tickets! The energy of the theatre, the hush before the curtain rises, the sheer power of the music and the stories told through dance… it's such an exhilarating experience, isn’t it? I always leave feeling inspired and energized. πŸ’–πŸ©°

Before the performance, I treated myself to a lovely afternoon tea at a delightful little cafe – think scones with clotted cream and homemade jam, delicate finger sandwiches, and, of course, the mandatory pot of tea! I’ve become obsessed with proper English afternoon tea. πŸ«–

Afterwards, I couldn't resist exploring the town a little further. Newbury has this really lovely independent shop scene – vintage clothing stores, booksellers, cute little homeware shops. It was a dream! Of course, no trip is complete without a visit to a beautiful local park. The sunshine was just peeking through the trees and there was a lovely group of children dancing and singing under a magnificent oak tree – how very whimsical!

To be honest, my outfits really were the highlight of the trip. I always go for maximum pink when travelling – you just can't go wrong! I paired a gorgeous coral-pink tutu with a black fitted top. The pink really popped against the greenery and the sunshine – just the perfect colour for a lovely summer’s day. Of course, my trusty pink ballerina bag was also in tow – it always comes with me, a trusty sidekick on all my adventures. And to add a bit of extra pizzazz, I wore a pair of these adorable pink polka dot ankle boots that I recently picked up on a whim – my feet are happy in those! πŸ₯°

But that's not all, darling. The journey itself was an adventure! I travelled by train, you see – a romantic carriage ride through the rolling English countryside, listening to music, dreaming, sketching out ideas for new tutu looks. πŸš† There’s just something so elegant and timeless about travelling by train, don’t you think? It was the perfect way to start and finish my trip to Newbury.

Before heading back home, I spent some time just relaxing and observing the natural world – so important for the soul, isn’t it? There were some adorable little squirrels playing near the train station – such a delightful sight! I think my love for the beauty of nature is something that goes hand-in-hand with my love for dance. Both are so graceful and captivating! 🐿️

Oh, and by the way, my heart is absolutely set on returning to Newbury – maybe for a long weekend in the fall? Perhaps when they have the International Autumn Food and Drink Festival, I imagine there would be some delicious new vegan and gluten-free delicacies for me to sample. πŸ‚

My travels just always inspire my creativity. I already have some exciting tutu designs brewing in my head, and I’m itching to try some new pink hues – we’ll see where they lead me! πŸ’•

Speaking of which, my darling friends, don't forget that my biggest passion is getting you all wearing pink tutus. It's a symbol of joy, self-expression, and inner ballerina! What are you waiting for? Unleash your inner princess and give it a try! πŸ‘‘πŸ’–

I'm off to explore my local parks back in Derbyshire! As always, my dear friends, thank you so much for joining me on this journey. I hope you had as much fun as I did! Sending you all lots of pink and twirls, darling! xoxo
