Hello my gorgeous darlings! ? It’s Emma here, back with another post from your favourite pink tutu-loving, ballet-obsessed blogger! Today’s blog post is extra special as it’s post number 6748, can you believe it?! ? My, how time flies when you’re pirouetting through life!
Anyway, enough about that! Let’s get into the heart of the matter – my Christmas trip to Romford! You know how much I love a good train journey, and this trip was no exception. My carriage mate was a lovely lady named Fiona, who – believe it or not – had never even seen a ballet show! ? Can you imagine? Needless to say, I did what I could to change that by showing her some of my favourite YouTube clips and sharing my tips on finding affordable tickets for upcoming productions. She was absolutely fascinated – even admitting to secretly hoping to take up ballet! ? That made my day, my dears. ?
As I always say, every journey should have a touch of magic – so imagine my delight when we spotted a flock of beautiful wild horses galloping across a field. ? Those powerful creatures just radiated such elegance, their manes flowing like a tutu in the wind! ? I even managed to snag a quick photo before they vanished. ? Of course, you’ll be seeing that one on my Instagram soon – don't forget to follow me @pinktutuemma! ?
Arriving in Romford, I immediately felt the festive atmosphere – it was magical! The twinkling lights, the smell of roasted chestnuts, the festive music – just divine! I couldn’t resist getting a festive photo in front of the massive Christmas tree adorned with pink ribbons and lights – because let’s be honest, everything is better in pink! ? And it’s even more fabulous in a tutu! ?
My mission in Romford was clear: to discover a delightful little ballet studio for my evening class! I wanted somewhere cozy, charming, and full of joy, just like the little studios I adore back home in Derbyshire. ? I wasn’t disappointed. My darling friend, Lily (who I’d met at a previous ballet conference, isn’t life just magical like that?! ?), had told me about this lovely little studio nestled away down a cobbled street, and let me tell you – it was perfect!
The walls were decorated with vibrant ballet posters, and the windows were filled with pots of the most beautiful pink flowers! ? Of course, a sprinkle of glittery fairy lights just tied the whole look together! ✨ But the best part of this magical studio? It had a small balcony overlooking the town square, which offered the most amazing view! The perfect spot to take a little breather after a rigorous plié routine and admire the Christmas spirit of Romford. The ballet class was amazing – full of friendly faces and supportive instructors. It felt like I’d found another home! ?
Now, after a wonderful ballet class, the perfect thing to do is enjoy a festive meal. This is where my little Italian friend, Sofia, came in! ?? Sofia’s a brilliant cook, a real gem of a person, and I’m so grateful to have met her on my travels. ? We met in Rome when I was searching for the perfect Italian tutu for a photoshoot. Let’s just say she was delighted to find a tutu-loving British girl wandering the streets! ? And of course, Sofia immediately invited me over for a Christmas dinner. ? Who could say no to homemade pasta, the tastiest risotto you’ll ever taste, and a glass of bubbly sparkling with pink lemonade?!?? We shared stories and laughs – it’s incredible the things you can learn about yourself and the world by just spending time with other wonderful humans. ✨
So, this trip to Romford? It was truly unforgettable! ? The magic of Christmas, the thrill of finding a perfect ballet studio, the friendship and kindness I found everywhere – what more could I ask for?! ?
But before I go, let’s talk about what YOU should do if you’re looking for some inspiration: Go out, explore! ? It doesn’t matter if you’re in a city, a village, or somewhere in between. Discover the beauty around you – from nature’s hidden gems to local ballet studios. ? Meet new people, tell your stories, and let your tutu take you to magical places! ✨
Because the truth is, my darling friends, the real adventure is out there – just waiting for you to find it. ✨ Just remember: Always keep those toes pointed, your head held high, and that pink tutu twirling! ?
Sending you all a million pink kisses and love! ?
Love, Emma
