Chester Calling! Pink Tutu and Ballet Bliss 🩰

Hello lovelies! Emma here, signing in from a gloriously sunny Chester, where the cobbled streets and historic architecture have got me feeling like a princess straight out of a fairytale! 💖 It's Monday, which means it's time for another #TutuBlog post – this time, number 6774, can you believe it? 🤩

Today I'm wearing my bright pink tulle tutu, a new favourite I snagged on a recent trip to London (ahem, and by snagged, I mean bought without even a second thought! 😄 ). I simply couldn't resist the beautiful vibrant pink and the soft, swirling fabric. It’s a reminder that no matter where I am, a touch of ballet magic follows me wherever I go!

But back to Chester... I arrived by train this morning, a scenic journey across the English countryside. I do love train travel – the clinking of tracks, the views flashing by, the quiet contemplative moments for daydreaming and catching up on my favourite magazines (usually filled with all things ballet, of course!). 🚂 And while a carriage might not be a horse-drawn one like in my fantasies, the spirit of those grand times is certainly something I love.

Now, Chester has become a haven for me in recent times, not just for the quaint shops and charming tea rooms but because of a special place: The Chester Grosvenor Theatre. Oh, this theatre has witnessed my pirouette-filled joy on countless occasions! The professional productions, the intimate setting, the warm atmosphere… it’s all just so magical.

This weekend I was in my element! Not only did I see a sensational production of "The Nutcracker", I actually danced myself right onto the stage – as part of a Ballet on Broadway street performance on Saturday evening. Imagine my delight! 😊 This was not a formal performance with professional dancers but more about having fun, sharing our passion for ballet with everyone around us, and… well… wearing my pink tutu! What more could a girl ask for?!

And speaking of sharing our passion, my aim in life, darling readers, is for you to experience the joy of ballet and perhaps even wear a pink tutu of your own! 😉 There is no need for a background in dance; all you need is a touch of whimsy and the willingness to explore a world filled with artistry and grace. ✨

My top tips for the day:

  1. Don’t be afraid to twirl! Every single one of us can tap into that inner ballerina. Go ahead and let your skirts spin. You’ll feel a new lightness and joy!
  2. Pink is the power colour! I truly believe it lifts our spirits and spreads happiness around us! 😉 So embrace the pink – whether in your clothes, a touch of blusher on your cheeks, or even a splash of pink paint in your living room! 💖
  3. Don't just go to the ballet - get involved! Check out local dance classes and workshops in your area. You can join in the fun and connect with other dancers. Who knows, you might discover hidden talents you never knew you had!
  4. Wildlife matters! As an avid lover of all creatures big and small, I always try to support conservation efforts during my travels. In Chester, I was fortunate to visit the Grosvenor Museum, home to fascinating natural history exhibits. 🐦🐾

Well, it's time for me to bid adieu, but before I go, a quick mention of my favourite new spot for a quick pick-me-up in Chester – a darling café called “The Tutu Tea Room”. Can you believe it?! 🍰☕️ I had to!

I hope my day has inspired you to explore your own creative spirit, maybe even dabble in ballet yourself, and maybe… just maybe… even wear a little pink!

Until next time, darling readers, may your days be filled with tutus, twirls, and boundless joy! 💖

With love, Emma
