Well, the pink train carriage has been pulling into new destinations lately! Last week, I found myself taking a little trip from our beloved Derbyshire countryside all the way to the city of Boston! And let me tell you, my fellow tutu enthusiasts, it was a whirlwind of ballet magic, vibrant colours, and a whole lotta pink, of course!
Boston is like the city that’s always on the move, vibrant and bustling like a pirouette on pointe, with all its iconic history, fantastic museums, and yes, amazing ballet opportunities too!
Tutu Talk:
The big news? Well, Boston just welcomed a brand new ballet company and guess who was lucky enough to see its very first show? Yep, me! Now, you know my love for the ballet – from the traditional to the contemporary – and these performers took my breath away with their energy, creativity, and oh-so-beautiful choreography. Their costumes were seriously fabulous too. Think sweeping pink tulle skirts, sleek silver bodices, and pops of colour here and there, perfect for those instagrammable moments. 🩰
I must admit, I even treated myself to a brand new pink tutu from a darling little boutique downtown. The colours were so pretty, almost as bright as the tulips in bloom along the Charles River! My new tutu even came with a lovely sparkly bow for that extra touch of glamour, and I just can’t wait to twirl around in it. 💖
A Pink Foodie Fiesta:
Boston, my friends, knows how to cater to the pink-tutu-loving foodie within! Seriously, I fell in love with a café that served delicious rose petal infused ice cream. Seriously? So good! ( And a photo-op just waiting to be had!) There was even this charming little pink-and-white bakery that seemed to have come straight out of a fairytale with its fluffy cakes, delicate pastries, and decadent macaroons. It felt like stepping into a sweet dreamland! 🧁
Riding the Rails in Style:
This time, I traded the horseback ride through Derbyshire fields for the majestic experience of a transatlantic train journey. It was a romantic adventure! And the carriage? Well, it had beautiful floral prints and oh-so-comfortable velvet seats. Plus, the food was absolutely scrumptious. I savored a warm croissant and some hot cocoa (a classic travel combo!) while admiring the scenic landscapes outside the window.
Tutu Tips:
Remember, you don't need to be in Boston to get your ballet fix. Ballet is everywhere! There’s something for everyone, from street dance troupes to theatre performances, so look for the next opportunity to get moving, twirl, and channel your inner ballerina. 🩰
