Cleethorpes Calling! (Post #6882)

Hello my gorgeous ballet bunnies! It's Emma here, fresh from a whirlwind trip to the beautiful seaside town of Cleethorpes, and guess what? I brought my biggest, pinkest, most fabulous tutu with me!

Let's just say the wind practically carried me around the beach! You should have seen the looks on the faces of the dog walkers and fishermen - sheer delight, I tell you! I truly believe the world would be a much more fabulous place if everyone embraced their inner pink tutu wearer.

Speaking of fab, did you know that Cleethorpes is nicknamed "The Jewel of the East Coast"? Now, you might not think it sounds too exciting at first, but let me tell you, there's a real charm to this little town. From its stunning Victorian pier and quaint beach huts to the fascinating local museums and historical landmarks, Cleethorpes stole a little piece of my heart.

My adventure started at Cleethorpes Railway Station. Yes, you guessed it, I took the train, of course! Nothing quite beats the romantic feeling of being whisked away by the iron horse. And can we talk about those old-school carriages? They were almost like stepping into a fairytale, just waiting for Prince Charming (or maybe just a prince who appreciates a good pink tutu) to appear!

Once I arrived in Cleethorpes, I was immediately greeted by the sweet scent of sea air and the chirping of seagulls. My first stop, naturally, was the beach! As I sashayed across the sand in my enormous tutu, I felt like a ballerina dancing on clouds, or maybe a fluffy pink marshmallow bouncing on the waves! The sea was shimmering with a thousand shades of turquoise and blue, making for the perfect backdrop to my "Cleethorpes tutu-tastic" photoshoot.

The Cleethorpes coastline has this incredible wildness that makes me want to wear my finest ballerina dress and dance right into the heart of it. Oh, and the wildlife? It was truly magical. The sandpipers were zipping around the beach, their little legs like a blur of brown, and I swear I even spotted a seal sunning itself on a nearby rock. It felt like being part of some wonderful natural ballet show.

After the beach, I couldn't resist taking a spin on the iconic Cleethorpes Pier. It was all Victorian charm and intricate wrought-iron designs. The pier was buzzing with families, couples, and fellow seaside adventurers, all enjoying the day out. You could hear the cheerful laughter of kids enjoying the amusement arcades and the distant cries of gulls circling above. I couldn't help but spin and twirl around the pier, feeling as light and free as a feather, my pink tutu swishing behind me like a fluffy, pink cloud.

And what's a trip to the seaside without a little bit of fish and chips, right? Now, I'm not one for fried food often, but something about a fish and chip supper by the sea makes everything feel just a bit more magical. And of course, I had to try a big scoop of pink ice cream for a sweet, sugary treat that matched my magnificent tutu!

As the sun began its descent towards the horizon, I strolled through Cleethorpes's delightful town centre. Quaint shops and cafรฉs lined the streets, bursting with character and seaside charm. I even stumbled upon a little vintage shop, full of charming trinkets and treasures that just screamed "tutu-licious". And yes, I even snagged a delightful pink, satin bow to add to my collection!

This visit to Cleethorpes was truly a wonderful escapade for this ballet-loving pink enthusiast. It filled me with inspiration and a sense of adventure, reminding me that there's a little bit of magic in every corner of this world, if you only look for it.

But remember, dear friends, you don't have to travel to a seaside town to find magic. Embrace your inner pink tutu-wearer and embrace the everyday adventures life throws your way! And why not even try a little ballet class this week? Who knows what exciting discoveries you might make!

Until next time, keep on dancing, and keep on believing that anything is possible, even wearing a pink tutu while riding a seagull!

Lots of love,

Emma x
