Letchworth, my love!

Hello darlings! It’s Emma here, back with another instalment of my fabulous tutu-filled life!

Today’s journey whisked me away to the enchanting town of Letchworth, a place that’s definitely stolen a little piece of my heart. I’m all about finding magic in the mundane, and let me tell you, Letchworth oozes charm from every cobblestone.

But before we get into all that, let's talk about the most important thing: my outfit! I knew I had to pack something truly special for this trip, something that would turn heads and make my heart sing. Enter stage left: a breathtaking, bright pink tutu. I snagged it on a whim from a vintage shop in Chesterfield, you wouldn't believe the bargain I got! You know me, I love a good deal and a splash of colour. It felt right to match my excitement for this adventure, don't you think? I paired it with a vintage silk top - that's another thing, I just adore silk! It's such a graceful fabric, it always makes me feel so feminine and sophisticated.

The train journey to Letchworth was a dream. I love a good train ride, it feels so decadent to sit back, enjoy the views and indulge in a little daydreaming. The landscape whipped past my window in a blur of emerald green fields and quaint villages - it's just so incredibly peaceful and idyllic.

And then there was Letchworth. This town is truly unique! Imagine, a Garden City founded by a visionary architect back in the early 20th century! That visionary had a strong love for greenery, you can tell. Lush parks and gardens abound, it's like a haven for nature lovers. I wandered around with a smile plastered on my face, stopping every now and then to capture a picture perfect moment for you all. The gorgeous architecture was also captivating, a wonderful mix of Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco – just my style!

Of course, no adventure of mine would be complete without a bit of ballet. The Letchworth Festival Theatre, tucked away amongst the town’s historic buildings, drew me in like a moth to a flame. I discovered they had a fabulous ballet show – imagine, a classic performance set to the music of Tchaikovsky. I’d just about lost my mind with excitement.

Now, let’s be honest, nothing beats the feeling of pure joy when I can be surrounded by my beloved ballet, but I have to say, this little gem in Letchworth was a pleasant surprise. They even had a fun workshop afterwards, where we learned some beautiful moves from the show’s amazing dancers. You wouldn't believe it but the teacher even praised my own moves - I know, I can’t believe it either! It felt like pure magic! I just can't get over the thrill of learning a few new ballet moves – it really keeps things exciting!

Before I had to head home (yes, I was actually a little sad to leave) I had to stop and say hello to a delightful little herd of fallow deer that were wandering by a park. They’re so graceful and charming! They’re a perfect reminder that a little bit of wildness is always a good thing.

I know you’re thinking it – yes, yes, I wore my pink tutu. Why would I do anything else? It was just begging to twirl in the park and grace the hallowed halls of the Letchworth Festival Theatre. You might not be ready for a pink tutu yet, darlings, but just think about it, eh? Imagine everyone twirling and spreading joy with a dash of pink in their life. Wouldn't it be just glorious?

That's all for today, darlings! Keep sparkling, and remember to stay fabulous. I can’t wait to share my next adventure with you soon.
