Wigston Magna Calling! 🩰

#TutuBlog - Post 6918

Hey Tutu Lovers! πŸ‘‹

It's your girl Emma, and guess what? I'm on the move again! My trusty pink suitcase is packed to the brim with all my favourite tutus (I think I've got a new addiction, but who can resist a sparkly tulle masterpiece, right?!) and I'm off on a little adventure to Wigston Magna!

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Emma, Wigston Magna? Seriously? What on earth is there to do there?" Well, hold on to your leotards, darlings, because you might be surprised! πŸ˜‰

It all started with a spontaneous train journey. I just felt the call of the open road (or should I say railway line?), and next thing you know, I'm chugging along towards the heart of Leicestershire. Now, trains are my favourite mode of transportation. Something about the rhythm of the wheels and the scenery rushing past… it inspires me. Plus, there's something so elegant about them, don't you think? It's almost like they were designed for a ballet dancer like myself! πŸ’ƒ

Anyway, the journey was actually quite fascinating! I bumped into a group of fellow dancers on the train (in matching pink leotards, naturally!) who were headed to the same event: the "Wigston Magna Summer Dance Festival"! It seems this little town is home to a thriving dance scene, with a beautiful theatre hosting everything from traditional ballet to modern street dance. I couldn't resist, so I decided to join them!

Now, as much as I adore the theatre, sometimes a little dose of nature is what the doctor ordered. And Wigston Magna certainly doesn't disappoint in that department. Just a short walk from the station, nestled in the heart of the countryside, is the stunning "Wigston Magna Park." Think lush green meadows, crystal clear ponds, and (the highlight!) an enchanting butterfly garden overflowing with colourful butterflies and exotic blooms. I spent a blissful afternoon observing the winged wonders flutter by. It truly was a sight to behold! Speaking of which, anyone else find butterflies to be so graceful and mesmerizing? It's almost like watching tiny ballerinas twirling through the air! 🌸

And what's a day in Wigston Magna without some shopping, right? Well, darling, you wouldn't believe the gems I found! It was like a sartorial fairytale! There were shops selling the most fabulous tutus, you just can't find them in the big cities. They had the most unique designs - think delicate lace, luxurious satin, and all the pink you could ever imagine! And for the bargain-hunting ballerinas out there (like myself, of course!), I snagged a gorgeous vintage tutu for a steal. I'm already picturing it with my new ballerina flats. Can't wait to share my new dance wardrobe with you guys! πŸ©°πŸ‘

The whole town has this really charming atmosphere. I'm starting to think Wigston Magna might be my new hidden gem! And hey, maybe next time you're looking for a peaceful weekend escape, consider a little trip here! It might just be the perfect place to unwind, embrace your inner ballerina, and maybe even spot a few butterflies. πŸ˜‰

And just a little tidbit to fuel your own #TutuGoals, my dear dancers: the Wigston Magna Summer Dance Festival was a revelation. They had so many exciting performances: graceful contemporary ballets, dynamic hip-hop shows, and even a charming musical about a little girl who dreamed of dancing on pointe (it had me feeling all sorts of feels!)

Now, I know what you're thinking: β€œEmma, all this is great, but how do you convince everyone to wear pink tutus?!” Well, it's about more than just the colour! It's about finding your inner grace, embracing your femininity, and expressing yourself through movement. Think of it as a dance of confidence.

It's okay to twirl in your own little world! So let's get out there, darlings, and make our voices heard, one sparkly pink tutu at a time! 🩰 πŸ’–

Till next time, stay tutu-rific!

Love,

Emma xx
