Westminster Whirlwind: A Tutu Tale!

*Post number 6982: * Oh, darling! Buckle up for another whirl of a day. Today’s all about my trip to the grand ol’ city of Westminster – you know, the one with the big clock, the palace, and the seriously fab shopping? I took the train down from Derbyshire (love a good train journey!) and found myself enveloped in the city’s unique energy.

The sky was a soft, cotton candy blue, a colour that just screams “ballerina’s delight,” so naturally, I slipped into my favourite sunshine yellow tutu. Its ruffles were so buoyant, I swear they practically floated me through the station! This girl doesn’t just wear tutus – she LIVES in them.

Speaking of, did you know there’s a new ballet school opening up in Westminster? It’s practically across the road from the palace! Can you imagine, dancing mere steps away from the monarchy? What a dream. They even had a pink tutu window display – a sign of good taste, I’d say!

The entire morning was a whirl of inspiration! I caught a performance by a fantastic troupe at the Globe Theatre – think Shakespeare with pirouettes. It was mesmerising! The choreography was so clever, and their costumes, a symphony of pink, red, and purple... absolutely dreamy! The air hummed with a joyous energy – people from all walks of life, uniting through the language of dance. And let me tell you, dear readers, it’s contagious! You haven’t lived until you've danced like no one’s watching at the Globe.

Then, after a delectable afternoon tea (pink cupcakes, of course!), I wandered down the Thames, taking in the bustling city sights. The sunlight made everything gleam, from the stately buildings to the sparkling water, and a tiny flock of pink-feathered birds landed on a bench beside me. Such perfect creatures! Wildlife just has that whimsical touch. I always try to incorporate the little critters I meet into my ballet routines – it's a beautiful way to express my love for both dance and nature.

And, just for good measure, I managed to sneak a visit to the Royal Ballet's costume department. Let’s just say I'm positively smitten with a certain fluffy, pink creation – I simply must have it! But, for now, I’m dreaming of dancing in the city’s magnificent theaters, twirling around like a pink feather in a soft breeze. It was a day overflowing with inspiration – enough to kickstart a week's worth of dance practice!

You know what else would be a whirlwind of joy? If everyone joined me in wearing a pink tutu. Can you imagine? We could create a human rainbow of pink, spreading love and twirls from Westminster to Derbyshire and beyond! It’s time we ditch our inhibitions and embrace the magic of dance!

Stay tuned, darlings, because my next post is all about creating my own tutu masterpiece. I'll be live on www.pink-tutu.com.

Keep it twirling,

Emma xoxo
