Chelmsford Calling! 🩰 Pink Tutu Travels: Post #7012

Hello my gorgeous tutu-lovers! 💋 Emma here, bringing you all the latest from my adventures in pink. Today I’m stepping out of my Derbyshire comfort zone (although, let's face it, Derbyshire is pretty fabulous too, with its rolling hills and sheep-dotted landscapes!) and into the bustling, vibrant city of Chelmsford.

This gorgeous town is famous for its cobbled streets, independent boutiques, and its glorious historical charm. Plus, of course, it's a total hotbed for dance, with its fabulous ballet school and theatre.

Oh, before I forget, did I tell you about the amazing cyan tutu I'm wearing? It's the perfect shade of aqua, like a summer sky mixed with a mermaid's tail! I know what you’re thinking – cyan and pink? A match made in fashion heaven! I simply couldn’t resist its sparkly charm – it’s just the perfect touch of cool to brighten up even the cloudiest of days!

I actually made my journey by train, you see, as my trusty steed, the adorable, chestnut mare, Clementine, is enjoying a much-needed holiday (a spa day for horses is next week! Don't worry, you'll get a full report!) - but more on my train adventures later!

Anyways, Chelmsford. The sun was shining, birds were chirping (even the pigeons were trying to be cute today!) and I was in a state of utter delight! First stop? The lovely Chelmsford Ballet School. My, my, my… what a vibrant hive of talent. Little ones learning their first arabesques, graceful teenagers leaping across the floor, and the occasional professional flitting through the halls. Pure magic.

I must admit, I was tempted to slip on my ballet shoes and join in! Who could resist? Those warm up bars and the rhythmic beats – so inviting! Luckily, I restrained myself – maybe another time, though! (Who am I kidding, you’re going to see a full dance floor on Pink Tutu next week!)

Later, I spent a glorious afternoon lost in the winding streets of Chelmsford, my cyan tutu swaying alongside the cobblestones. Each corner was a photo opportunity, from the cute little cafes (with their rainbow cakes!), to the ancient pubs boasting fascinating history. It’s a town brimming with charm and energy, reminding me of my own favourite parts of Derbyshire!

My journey wasn't all about dancing and exploring, though. Oh no! I also found myself surrounded by delightful wildlife. We saw ducks with their fluffy little chicks (so sweet!), squirrels chattering amongst the trees, and even a very curious fox (oh so handsome, all fluffy and mischievous) who seemed just as interested in my cyan tutu as I was in him! I even managed to capture the little rascal on camera, he’ll be a star on Instagram soon!

Talking about Instagram… I’ve been taking tons of photos, sharing them on Instagram with #pinktutu travels. You must follow me, or you’ll miss out! Speaking of which… you simply MUST follow Pink Tutu's official Instagram account! We’ve got ballet adventures, fun fashion shots, and a daily dose of pink happiness waiting for you!

As the day drew to a close, the sun painting the sky in shades of apricot and lilac (so much pink, oh the irony!), I sat down at the town square, relishing the lively atmosphere. As the local musicians played their heart out, a warm sense of contentment washed over me.

Chelmsford had stolen a piece of my heart – the friendly smiles, the vibrant energy, and the intoxicating dance of life – all seasoned with the sweetest of pink hues. This, my friends, is exactly what I live for – the unexpected joys, the spontaneous moments, and the constant reminder that a little pink can go a long way.

I'll be back, Chelmsford, I just know it! Maybe next time I’ll even brave the stage and share my love for ballet with you all. Stay tuned, my dearest Pink Tutu followers, for exciting adventures, colourful moments, and a whole lot of pink love – because remember, you can never have too much of a good thing, especially if it's pink and twirly!

Until next time, keep dancing and keep your tutus close!

XOXO, Emma
