Edmonton Adventures: Tutu Time in Canada! (Post #7037)
Hey everyone! Emma here, ready to share my latest ballet adventures, this time from the wonderful city of Edmonton in Canada. I have to tell you, this city has already stolen my heart – it's so friendly and full of life! And as usual, I've been dancing my way through it all.
But before I talk about my trip, let's get to the real star of this post: my brand-new German tutu! Now, you all know I adore tutus, and this one is particularly special. It’s this gorgeous pale pink shade, almost like a vintage rose petal, with layers and layers of the finest tulle. And the best part? It’s the most comfortable tutu I’ve ever worn! I swear, I could wear it all day and dance until the sun comes up.
And that's exactly what I did! After my long train journey across the beautiful Canadian plains (honestly, there’s something magical about a train trip – the chugging of the engine, the landscapes rushing by), I settled into my cute hotel in Edmonton, popped on my tutu, and went for a waltz through the city park. Imagine a ballerina twirling around, bathed in the golden light of a late summer evening! It was absolutely magical.
The next day was dedicated to Edmonton's cultural heart. We started at the Winspear Centre, home to the fabulous Alberta Ballet, which, I have to say, is just divine. You know me, I love a good ballet show, and the sheer elegance and athleticism of these dancers was phenomenal. Their contemporary interpretation of the classic Swan Lake had me in awe! Afterwards, we did a bit of shopping at Whyte Avenue, the hippest part of Edmonton, picking up some quirky little trinkets and vintage finds (naturally, a sparkly pink pair of ballet shoes made their way into my bag!). Then we dined at a delightful Italian restaurant, the perfect ending to a perfect day!
The weekend saw me trying something a bit different. I took a ride out of the city, swapping the tutu for a pair of sturdy boots and my favourite vintage floral dress, for a thrilling horseback adventure! I mean, can you imagine a more charming way to see the Canadian countryside? It was breathtaking, especially the lush valleys and vast blue skies!
Oh, and did I tell you about the adorable wildlife I saw?! A mama deer with her little fawn grazing peacefully, and the fluffiest bunnies hopping around, like cotton balls come to life! Honestly, I swear every little bit of nature I encounter reminds me why I love living this pink-tutu-filled life – it’s a celebration of beauty, kindness, and pure joy!
I truly believe we should all wear our hearts on our sleeves, or perhaps on our tutu! There's no better way to embrace life than with a dash of joy, a splash of pink, and a twirl in your step. If you've never tried ballet, I urge you to give it a go! You might be surprised by the graceful spirit hidden within you!
This trip to Edmonton has been truly spectacular – the city itself, the incredible people, the ballet performances, and, of course, the incredible joy I felt being here. I can’t wait to see what adventures my little pink tutu will lead me to next! Until then, keep on dancing, my darlings, and never forget:
The world is your stage, so make it pink, make it sparkle, and make it dance!
Stay fabulous, Emma xo www.pink-tutu.com
