Bangor, Wales: Tutu Time in the Snowdonia Hills! ❄️🩰

Hey lovelies, it's your favourite pink-tutu wearing blogger, Emma, here with post number 7079! And guess what? Today's adventure takes me all the way to Bangor in beautiful Wales! This is my first time visiting this part of the UK, and I can't believe I've missed it for so long! The scenery here is just breathtaking, and the Welsh charm is as lovely as ever.

But first, let's talk about my fabulous journey! I took the train up from Derbyshire this time, watching the English countryside whizz past. I even spotted some sheep, so cute! The carriage was all mine - I managed to nab a little corner to myself for a couple of hours - which meant I could really get lost in a ballet book! Oh, and I was so excited, I just had to break out my newest addition - a sparkly pink tutu with an iridescent green stripe! 🤫 It felt so good, swishing it around the train and twirling like nobody was watching.

Okay, onto the heart of the matter: Bangor. Now, this town is a true gem, tucked right under the shadow of the iconic Snowdonia mountains. I think they really know how to appreciate their natural beauty here. Everywhere you go, there are picture postcard moments - rugged mountains meeting sparkling blue lakes, and so much lush greenery.

My main goal today was to find a spot where I could practice my pirouettes with the stunning mountain scenery as my backdrop. It had to be perfect! Thankfully, I discovered a gorgeous park - and it seemed just perfect for some impromptu pirouettes with the wind whipping my tutu around my legs.

This park felt so tranquil! I felt totally in my element as I did a little plié practice on a giant oak tree, then moved onto some grand jetés towards a magnificent mountain range in the distance! My pink tutu really stood out against all the lush greenery. This is the perfect spot to lose yourself in the music of nature!

It wouldn't be a real Emma trip without a visit to a local ballet class. I couldn't leave without joining a group of enthusiastic ballet dancers. There was such a happy atmosphere - a real passion for the art. They were absolutely delighted when they saw my outfit! They hadn't seen a pink tutu quite like it in Bangor before! I loved chatting with them about our shared passion - how a love of ballet can make you feel so strong, so graceful, so truly free!

You know me, I love sharing my passion. The girls encouraged me to lead the class. After a few "chapeaus" and "à la secondes," I decided to pull out my latest dance move. A "pink-tutu pirouette". I'm so glad they loved it!

In the afternoon, I found the most charming little tea shop. Imagine - pastel pink walls, lace tablecloths, and delicious tea and cake. It felt like something straight out of a Victorian fairy tale. And of course, the perfect place for my "Pink Tutu Picnic"! My little pink backpack always contains the essentials - sparkling water, a book of poetry, a box of sparkly ballet shoes, and of course, some pink treats.

Bangor is the kind of town where you can find real artistic treasures just around the corner. The street performers here were truly remarkable! One of my favourite moments was watching a mime perform on the steps of an ancient church, right in the centre of town. It was like something straight out of the street performance art scene, only this time it was my pink tutu that caught the eye. I got a ton of smiles and cheers!

So, as the day started to draw to a close, and I've really been savouring this beautiful place! You know I just love a town where there's history, and here, every building seems to whisper stories from the past. I especially loved the cathedral - the architecture was breathtaking! I actually went for a lovely little stroll around the cathedral grounds before taking my seat for a captivating evening show at the theatre! It was a story based on Welsh folklore - magical!

So, that’s my beautiful day in Bangor. I know you love to see my dance-inspired outfits, so check out the blog for some pics from my adventure! You won't want to miss this, darlings. Just remember, my little tutu-wearing adventures have got me thinking - if you can wear a pink tutu while watching mountains and learning new moves with new people, there is nothing you can't achieve.
