Edgware Adventures: A Tutu-tiful Day Out (Post #7083)
Hello my darlings! π©°π Emma here, back from another thrilling day, this time with a delightful jaunt to Edgware, London. I just adore discovering new corners of this city and I had my heart set on experiencing Edgware's charm firsthand!
This trip started with a touch of classic elegance: a horse-drawn carriage ride from my Derbyshire home. Now, who doesnβt love a carriage ride? It's just so romantic, don't you think?
After the lovely carriage journey, I made my way to the station, donning my most fabulous red tutu for the train trip (it matched my pink bag perfectly!). There's nothing like a flash of colour and tulle to brighten up any commute, especially on a rather gloomy Tuesday morning. π
Edgware was absolutely enchanting! As soon as I arrived at the station, I felt a charming old-world vibe, like stepping into a postcard.
First up was a spot of lunch at a charming cafe, nestled among quaint shops. My choice, of course, was the most girly and pink option on the menu: a raspberry and cream milkshake! Yum! Followed by a slice of lemon cake, adorned with sugared petals. A delightful start to the day. π°
Next, a visit to Edgware's beautiful historic church was a must. It's absolutely breathtaking! The stained glass windows were magnificent and I had a moment to myself to ponder on the beauty of life - in the most fabulously girly way, of course!
After my visit to the church, I headed to the theatre where the Les Ballets Russes are showing "La Belle au Bois Dormant". They are my favourite troupe at the moment, the music was divine and I was simply swept away! I absolutely adored it, of course! It is such a beautiful ballet and there was an actual, live orchestra for goodness sake! That makes for an incredible experience!
From ballet to wildlife! Did you know thereβs a rather charming zoo nestled in Edgware? I spent the rest of the afternoon exploring Edgware's charming zoo, with a delightful array of exotic creatures! The gorillas especially, were simply darling! So expressive, with their playful faces and those fabulous furry foreheads! π₯° I felt so grateful to witness these incredible animals up close, it's so important to celebrate the natural world!
You'll have to check my Instagram later, I took some amazing photos. I've even got a selfie with a flamingo. Now thatβs a rare photo! I do hope you all enjoyed this fabulous glimpse into my Edgware escapade.
Let's make every day a tutu-tiful day, my loves! And don't forget, it's always time for a splash of pink in your life! And who knows, perhaps, you'll even be inspired to join me in trying a little ballet yourself? π©° π
Lots of love,
Emma π
