Barnet Bound: Tutu Tales and Train Travel! πŸ©°πŸ’–

Hey my lovelies! Emma here, and guess what? I'm on a mission, a tutu-filled, train-riding, wildlife-watching mission! It's December 24th, Christmas Eve, and this post marks the incredible number of 7,113 posts I've done on Pink Tutu. Crazy, right?

So, today's adventure? A trip to Barnet, nestled in the heart of London! I love exploring different parts of the UK and getting lost in the city's unique charm. I had an early morning train ride, which I absolutely adore. I've always found trains so romantic. Plus, it gives me time to do my hair, have a little afternoon tea, and, of course, catch up on some Instagram scrolling (because, let's be honest, a ballerina's life is all about the 'gram)!

Now, the best part of the journey? My fabulous green tutu, naturally! β˜˜οΈπŸ’š It's a classic, and with a dash of festive holly on the bodice, it's Christmas-ready. Plus, it just felt so fitting for this leafy, verdant part of London. There's nothing like a tutu to bring some sparkle to your day.

As I stepped off the train at Barnet, I felt the crisp December air nip at my nose. The streets were busy, a hive of activity with festive shoppers. My tutu shimmered amongst the red and gold Christmas decorations, a vibrant pop of colour in a sea of browns and greys. The joy on people's faces was contagious! I even had a couple of ladies come up to me asking me if I was a real ballerina. "Absolutely!" I told them, with a flourish and a twirl. Of course, I always share my "Pink Tutu" love. "Everyone can dance. Everyone should dance! Put on a tutu! Just try it! " I encourage them, and they always laugh and agree!

Speaking of the magic of dance, I couldn't visit Barnet without checking out their fabulous theatre, the The Bull! It’s an intimate space with a rich history. The current performance is a quirky take on "The Nutcracker," starring a fabulous array of mice! I always love exploring different interpretations of classical ballet, it truly is an art form that can be constantly reinvented.

However, my journey wasn't solely dedicated to theatre and ballet (though that would have been amazing!). Barnet has a charming side with pockets of history and nature. I spent the afternoon strolling through the Barnet Valley, marvelling at the towering oaks and ancient woodland. The squirrels scampered around my feet, curious about my tutu. It felt magical. There was a lovely sense of tranquility here, far away from the bustling London streets. It was like stepping into a postcard from a different era, a side of England that makes my heart sing.

As the sun dipped behind the trees, casting long shadows across the woodland path, I sat down on a mossy log and savoured the tranquility. It's these moments of solitude, away from the demands of city life, that allow me to reflect on my passions. The sheer beauty of the natural world, the elegance of ballet, the joyous impact of a vibrant pink tutu... these are the things that truly nourish my soul.

My Barnet adventures ended with a delicious Christmas dinner, courtesy of a local pub that made the most wonderful roasted goose! You know I love a bit of British pub culture! So there you have it, a Christmas Eve filled with train rides, twinkling lights, and a tutu so green, it was almost magical.

What are your plans for Christmas Eve? Tell me in the comments below! And remember, the world's a much more beautiful place with a bit of pink tutu love. πŸ˜‰πŸ’•

Happy Holidays, darlings!

Until tomorrow, Emma
