Newbury, My Pink Tutu Travels: Post #7134

Helloooo lovelies! Emma here, and let me tell you, I'm absolutely bursting with excitement about today's adventure! You know how much I adore exploring new places, and Newbury, well, it's a gem I've been dying to discover for ages.

As you know, my passion for tutus knows no bounds. This trip just had to involve a little bit of tutu-magic, and thankfully, fate (and a fantastic online shop) brought me the most fabulous American-style tutu – picture tiers of delicate, blush pink tulle, a sprinkle of glitter, and the most beautiful satin waistband! This, my darlings, was the perfect outfit for a day exploring a charming new town.

Now, I'm a Derbyshire girl at heart, so the idea of arriving in Newbury by train felt incredibly romantic. The rhythmic clattering, the quaint stations, the opportunity to gaze at the passing countryside – utter perfection! But, hold your horses (pun absolutely intended) – as we ventured out into Newbury, a genuine horse-drawn carriage beckoned! It felt like stepping into a fairytale – imagine, me, in my pink tutu, a genuine Victorian carriage, the sunshine, and the happy clacking of hooves... utter bliss!

Newbury is such a quaint, enchanting little town. Cobbled streets, historic buildings with beautiful architecture, quaint shops filled with hidden treasures, and a sense of calm that's truly special. We found ourselves exploring a cute little market filled with fresh local produce, and of course, I had to indulge in some of the most delectable homemade caramel fudge I've ever tasted.

Naturally, I wouldn't be Emma without a ballet-themed detour! We discovered the most gorgeous dance studio, with huge windows showcasing beautiful sun-drenched spaces just calling for a graceful pirouette. And guess what? They offer an adult beginner's ballet class! You can't resist a good challenge, can you? So, there I was, in my pink tutu, a group of fellow ballet enthusiasts, all eagerly following our teacher's instructions. The first class always feels a bit wobbly, but oh, the sheer joy of it all! You guys have got to try ballet, it’s magic, truly magic.

Speaking of magical, Newbury even boasts a fascinating wildlife sanctuary, and trust me, my pink tutu was not out of place! We found ourselves surrounded by gorgeous creatures – ducks paddling in tranquil ponds, cheeky squirrels chattering in the treetops, and even a majestic swan who, let's just say, might have been impressed by my tutu (who knows, maybe it was the glitter!) The air was alive with the sound of birdsong, and it was a truly calming escape.

I don’t know what’s next on the itinerary for the Emma’s Pink Tutu Travel diaries, but I do know it’s bound to be an adventure! Maybe an epic ballet performance in a stunning city cathedral? A gallop through a scenic forest with a pack of fluffy ponies? A picnic on a rooftop, complete with a magnificent view? Who knows what magical, tutu-tastic moments await? Stay tuned for the next Pink Tutu Adventure, and until then, happy twirling everyone!

P.S. Did you know you can join my ‘pink tutu army’ on www.pink-tutu.com? I post a new blog entry every day, and it’s a beautiful space to find like-minded people who embrace their inner ballerina. And yes, you can wear pink tutus everywhere you go, believe me! We’re all in this together, my pink tutu squad. Let’s spread the love for pink, tutus and dance all around the globe. It's gonna be EPIC.

Love and twirls, Emma x
