Harrow: A Food-tastic Tutu Adventure! 🍓🩰

Hey lovelies! It’s your girl Emma here, posting from my pink-tutu haven in the heart of Derbyshire! 💖 Today is the day I head to London! It’s been a while since I've been on a train and it's always exciting! A change of scenery always lifts my mood and today it's Harrow! It's all about spreading the pink-tutu love and indulging in some delectable eats, obviously!

This blog post marks the glorious number 7255! Wow, you guys are truly the best. Honestly, writing to you all daily makes me so happy. It's just amazing to share my journey of pirouettes, pink, and finding beauty in the ordinary.

Okay, enough mushiness, onto the Harrow adventures!

Harrow, nestled just outside of London, is a place I’ve always been meaning to explore. I envisioned strolling through picturesque streets, popping into quaint tea rooms, and of course, visiting the stunning Harrow School, steeped in history! I had my dream itinerary planned: a quintessential English experience, complete with floral prints and, of course, a delicate, delicious high tea.

As the train journey hummed along, I was a total girly-girl. I was lost in my thoughts about ballet, the magic of it, and what my pink-tutu journey will bring! Honestly, my pink-tutu travels feel like a fairy-tale, filled with grace and wonder!

Arriving in Harrow was pure joy. It felt like I'd stepped into one of those charming films set in the English countryside! It felt so calming, with a friendly atmosphere and the most charming little independent shops tucked away in the winding lanes! I knew instantly this was the perfect setting for a lovely day out!

Of course, I couldn't resist getting into the swing of things! My little pink-tutu wardrobe was ready! I donned my fabulous tulle-tutu in the prettiest blush pink, its layers dancing in the crisp breeze as I walked along the streets!

Let's be real, a little pink-tutu never hurts! My inner ballerina loves a touch of fancy dress wherever she goes, even if it's just on the journey from the station to a delicious high tea at a local bakery! I really feel it spreads positivity everywhere I go, and honestly, isn't that the whole point?! To make everyone just a bit happier, especially on a Thursday!

The bakery, ‘The Battered Biscuit’, had the most delectable selection of cakes, pastries and treats - imagine fluffy Victoria sponge cake with juicy strawberry jam, scones served warm with clotted cream, delicate raspberry macarons and dainty, frosted cupcakes! And who could resist a delightful fruit tart or a mini croissant!

Honestly, it was a complete sensory overload! But I was on a mission - I just had to try everything. In between mouthfuls, I sipped my raspberry tea, savoring each delicious moment. It felt like I was living a perfect slice of English afternoon tea bliss!

I was so enchanted by the beauty of the food that I decided to capture it in my pink tutu-style. So, naturally, I set up my little pink photo shoot with my new culinary delights. A cupcake tucked in my tutu with a dainty, sparkling strawberry placed upon my head... perfection! A scone tucked behind my tulle and a dainty cup of tea to compliment... stunning! Oh, you know, just another normal afternoon in my pink tutu-verse!

After my blissful food-tastic adventure at ‘The Battered Biscuit’, I continued my Harrow exploration. It was truly delightful to wander around the charming, bustling market with its lively vendors and friendly atmosphere! I spotted some beautiful blooms, juicy fresh produce and cute gifts. And of course, I couldn't resist snapping a few shots with my lovely new finds! My pink tutu was the perfect prop. Let’s just say, my pink tutu made a real impression, turning heads wherever I went!

But my trip wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the charm of Harrow School! It's like a slice of history! I was stunned by its beautiful architecture and sprawling grounds. This really felt like the backdrop of a charming historical movie! I spent some time appreciating the iconic chapel, its stately building and its elegant arched windows. The beauty of this iconic site is so uplifting. It reminded me to believe in the magic that awaits around every corner.

Feeling like a true Harrow aficionado, I headed to a sweet little café to relax and enjoy a hot cup of tea. A quick change from my food tutu to my ballet tutu (yes, I am a tutu enthusiast) for a couple of spontaneous pirouettes around the café’s outdoor seating. This sparked quite a bit of entertainment, which made me laugh as I felt my happy bubble expand even further!

There is just something truly magical about exploring new places and seeing the world with your inner ballerina guiding you. You feel more present, open to adventures, and inspired by all the beauty that surrounds you.

And what is more uplifting than seeing children enjoy their outdoor ballet classes in the public park on this glorious sunny day?! They all had beautiful smiles, bouncing on the tips of their toes as they danced with their instructor! Their passion and joy made me realise that life is simply beautiful when we all follow our dreams and chase after things that bring us joy! I just knew I had to dance with them! So, of course, I joined in! You could say I surprised the kids with a new dancing partner, but it was such a special moment to share! It truly made my afternoon!

Now I'm back on the train journey, sinking back into the calming swaying motion of my carriage. A little tired, but truly happy with my food-tastic, pink-tutu fuelled day! Harrow has really lived up to my expectations. A place full of historical charm, stunning scenery, and an abundance of sweet treats! This day is another little reminder of all the wonder life has to offer.

The day ended beautifully, filled with inspiration, smiles, and an extra touch of sugar! Harrow will definitely have a special place in my heart - it’s a little gem waiting to be discovered by you, too. So go on, explore new places and bring your inner ballerina with you wherever you go. You never know what delicious adventures might be waiting!

Until tomorrow, my lovely friends, and remember to wear your tutu wherever you go! (and if you happen to spot a cute, fluffy rabbit along the way, you might want to share some of your yummy food...they do love carrot!) 💖🐰🩰

Always,

Emma x
