Stratford Upon Avon: Where Fairies Dance! (Blog Post #7358)

Hello, lovelies! Emma here, writing to you from the magical town of Stratford Upon Avon! 🩰 It’s so dreamy, I practically had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't in a fairytale! You know how much I adore ballet and fairy-themed everything, and this place is absolutely bursting with both.

This week's adventure began in the usual way – a morning ballet class at my Derbyshire studio. Even though it was my usual Tuesday routine, today was extra special! We learned a beautiful new sequence, all flowing and delicate like a blooming rose – and guess what? The costume for the piece is pink, of course! It was actually a delicate blush pink, so sophisticated and whimsical, just like me! 😄

Feeling full of grace and a little bit pink-powered, I took the train down to Stratford. I can't resist a good train journey, it's so elegant and romantic. I even spied a handsome fellow traveler with his guitar, making the whole ride even more magical. Imagine if he asked me to dance… (daydreams)

Upon arriving at the station, the very first thing I saw was a beautiful, white swan. Just like in Swan Lake! It even waddled right up to me for a little nibble on my bag. That's what I love about Stratford, the wildness of nature mixed with all the Shakespearean history – it's truly enchanting.

Of course, no visit to Stratford would be complete without a trip to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. I decided to wear my newest tutu for the occasion – a blush pink creation with silver sparkles. It's a real show-stopper! (You should have seen the looks I got on the train… good looks, I’d like to think!).

The theatre itself is such a beautiful building. Its majestic facade is like something straight out of a fairytale – so dramatic, yet delicate at the same time! And then, inside, I discovered even more magic. I saw the most amazing display of costumes – all glittering fabrics and feathery plumes. Imagine dancing on that stage, twirling and swirling in such splendour!

Speaking of dancing, the production of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" was absolutely spectacular. All those faeries flitting around on stage with their twinkling lights and fluttering wings, it was like something straight out of a dream! I swear I even spotted a mischievous pixie! The dance sequences were divine – such grace and artistry, it took my breath away. It’s like the whole place was alive with magic!

And even though I loved watching the professional ballet, I couldn’t resist taking a ballet class at the theatre! I was determined to channel the elegance of the faeries I’d just seen! The class was held in a lovely, light-filled studio and I felt completely in my element, stretching, leaping and swirling like the faeries themselves.

But there’s more to Stratford than Shakespeare, you know! In the afternoon, I found myself enjoying the peaceful beauty of the River Avon. Swans were paddling, birds were singing and everything was just picture-perfect.

For tea, I sat in a cosy little café overlooking the river and indulged in a delicious Victoria sponge (don't worry, I shared some with a cute little sparrow that was having a go at my sugar!) I took out my diary and wrote down some ideas for my next tutu creation. I already have the perfect inspiration in mind! Maybe some fairy dust… or delicate butterfly wings…? Hmm, so many possibilities!

You know what? I can't remember ever being this inspired, so full of ideas! I’m going to start using my ballerina strength and grace to inspire others. Maybe I should do a "Pink Tutu Party" at my local community centre! Just imagine, a room full of giggling ladies twirling in their prettiest pink tutus!

Oh, before I go, just wanted to say a massive thank you to all my readers who always cheer me on! Keep sending me your stories about your ballet adventures. I love hearing about all your favourite moves and your pink-tutu creations! 💖
