Feltham: Where My Food-Themed Tutu Made a Delicious Statement

Helloooo my gorgeous ballet bunnies! 👋

It's Emma here, your pink-tutu-clad guide to all things twirling and fabulous, and today's post, #7587, takes us to the wonderful town of Feltham! It’s all about that glorious pink tutu (naturally!), a love of all things food-themed, and why this lovely place has become a new fave for me.

This week, I felt a powerful urge to create a tutu inspired by all the delicious treats that tickle my tastebuds. The challenge? It had to be wearable and look fabulous in the glorious sunshine that had been gracing Derbyshire! And what better location than Feltham to test it out? I've always loved that train journey, with its sprawling green countryside and glimpses of charming towns. I’m all for taking the scenic route, especially when it involves a chance to daydream about my next dance class or ballet performance!

Arriving at Feltham station, the air felt fresh and breezy. It reminded me of all those amazing days I spent exploring London, going to ballet shows in the West End and soaking up the city’s infectious energy. I grabbed a cuppa at the station cafe (Earl Grey, always my go-to!), and then took off on foot to explore. I adore getting a real feel for a place, taking in the smells, the sights, and of course, the stories the local people share.

And speaking of stories, have you ever seen a prettier station building? With its intricate details and floral accents, it felt like stepping into a fairytale. It was the perfect backdrop for a couple of quick snaps in my fabulous food-inspired tutu, and the sunshine caught the sequins perfectly. Talk about sparkle! I just had to share with my social media, and let everyone in on my latest masterpiece! 😉

I must confess, Feltham has an unexpected treasure for those of us who love ballet: a local dance school, complete with its own pretty, ballet-pink studio! I couldn't resist dropping in to say hello and catch a peek at a ballet class. They were so welcoming, and the dancers, all ages, were beaming with passion. Seeing that spark of joy reminds me why I'm so committed to inspiring everyone, from the shyest wallflower to the most seasoned ballerina, to give ballet a try! Who knows, it might even inspire them to embrace a little pink in their lives. 😉

Feltham was bursting with colourful life. The town centre was full of bustling cafes, shops and little independent boutiques, all bursting with creativity. My wanderings led me to a fabulous market, a kaleidoscope of flavours and aromas! The air buzzed with laughter and the excited chatter of families, and a friendly baker shared some delicious sourdough bread – it’s definitely going to inspire some yummy new dance moves! I'm pretty sure there were angels singing.

While strolling through Feltham’s delightful parks, I was caught by the most magnificent display of flowers – vibrant reds, pinks and purples – so beautiful it practically cried out for a graceful ballerina pirouette! And wouldn’t you know it, a small, charming local theater, was nestled amongst the park’s leafy trees! Imagine a theatrical production with an adorable tutued dancer, twirling amidst those blooming roses… just picture the scene!

To finish the day, nothing beat a relaxing ride back home on the train, the rhythmic sway like a waltz across the fields. The day was all about a beautiful ballet in a delightful town! You never know, Feltham just might inspire my next choreography!

And who knows, maybe it will inspire you, too. Feltham might be a hop and skip from London, but it’s a world away in its own delightful way. It has all the charm of a countryside village, the heart of a thriving community, and enough quirky beauty to fuel a million blog posts!

But here’s the thing, whether it’s Feltham or any other magical place you’re lucky enough to visit: remember to take a moment to twirl, to appreciate the beauty around you, to indulge in your passion. For me, it’s ballet, pink tutus, and delicious discoveries.

So, tell me! What’s YOUR favourite tutu inspiration? What town are you dreaming of exploring next? Let me know in the comments!

Sending all my love and happy twirling wishes,

Emma 💖
