Sutton in Ashfield: Tutu-ing Around Town (Post #7627)

Hey lovelies! 🩰💖

Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, and I'm absolutely buzzing to share today's adventures with you!

It's been a whirlwind week - my schedule is jam-packed with performances, rehearsals, and oh, a few little journeys thrown in for good measure! Now, I wouldn't be a true #PinkTutuGirlie if I didn't mention I was feeling positively radiant today. It's all thanks to a new arrival: a gorgeous cyan tutu, perfectly tailored and ready for its first big outing! You'll just have to wait and see where I took it for its maiden voyage...🤫

Speaking of voyages, let's rewind a bit... Remember my adventures on the railway last week? Well, I took my love affair with trains one step further this weekend and travelled by steam train! The journey itself was absolutely charming. The train, all polished brass and old-world charm, trundled slowly through the English countryside, offering glimpses of rolling hills and grazing sheep. I swear I even spotted a fox sunbathing in a field! It's so refreshing to slow down and appreciate the simpler things, don't you think?

And speaking of slowing down, I simply had to indulge in a spot of horseback riding during my trip. Now, I know what you're thinking – Emma and horses? Doesn't quite scream “graceful ballet dancer,” does it? 😉 But I absolutely adore spending time with these magnificent creatures! The feel of the wind in your hair and the gentle rhythm of their hooves pounding the ground...it's pure magic. Plus, the scenery was breathtaking! Imagine this: rolling meadows bathed in sunshine, a gentle breeze caressing the leaves of ancient trees, and the distant calls of larks soaring high above. The horses were incredibly friendly, too! And I can confidently say that after today, I'm absolutely ready to master the art of horseback riding...well, maybe not quite yet, but one day! 😄

But let's get back to my tutu! After the incredible horseback experience, it was time to show off my cyan stunner. My first stop was a beautiful theatre in Sutton in Ashfield, a town just a stone's throw from my home in Derbyshire. Now, I know what you're thinking - Sutton in Ashfield? Isn't that a bit…out there? But honestly, you’d be surprised! There’s a vibrant energy there, with a thriving local arts scene. I spotted a brilliant street theatre performance with the most amazing costumes (tutus were, of course, the star of the show!). Afterward, I had the privilege of witnessing a ballet performance - oh my, it was mesmerising! Every twirl, every leap, every expression...the talent on stage left me in awe. It reminded me how powerful the language of dance can be, and just how important it is to nurture our creativity.

But enough about the performances, let's talk about the true highlight of my Sutton in Ashfield experience! After watching the ballet, I couldn't resist sneaking in a visit to the local bakery. And boy oh boy, they had the most exquisite pink cake I have ever seen! Naturally, I had to buy it, and it was worth every single bite! Sweet and fluffy, with the perfect balance of flavour… It was just chefs kiss. 🍰💖

Okay, lovelies, it's getting late, and I have to go prepare for my next adventure! It’s going to be a jam-packed day of dance and fashion, with a hint of pink, of course! I'll be sharing all the exciting details with you tomorrow! Don’t forget to pop over to www.pink-tutu.com to join me on my dance-filled adventures.

Until then, stay radiant and never stop dreaming pink! 💖🩰

XOXO Emma
