Helloooo darlings! 🩰 Emma here, coming to you live from the platform at Derby train station, tutu fully prepped and ready for action! Today, my lovely lot, is a day for tutus to take the spotlight! It’s a proper “throw-on-your-sparkliest-thing” kind of day and Basildon’s calling, my dears!
A journey to the land of glitter and twirls – you just know a fab ballet performance awaits, and I’m ready to bring all the oohs and aahs with my own dazzling get-up!
And, oh my word, can you imagine my utter delight when I opened my wardrobe this morning? This new tutu, a truly sensational dream in softest pink and the most gorgeous sparkly sequins, literally winked at me as I peeled open the door! 💅 The sheer joy… it’s something else!
This isn't your standard everyday tutu, my loves! This, my friends, is a grand, sweeping masterpiece fit for a true princess, with enough volume to create an absolute storm of tulle! It’s a little bit bigger, a little bit brighter, a whole lot more spectacular than my usual - just a tiny bit… maybe. 😉
For such a grand adventure, it wouldn't do to travel by anything less than a majestic horse, would it? But alas, my lovely steed is off for a well-deserved spa day (it’s been quite the week, and the mane needs a good grooming!), so a train journey it is!
I have a soft spot for trains, really I do. That soothing rhythm of the tracks, the window views flashing by, and the opportunity to slip into a lovely book… absolute perfection! Plus, they provide ample opportunity for a tutu photoshoot! 💅 You just know I had to make the most of my platform surroundings! I’m already dreaming up all the wonderful pictures I’ll snap en route.
A quick pit-stop for a scrumptious scone at the station cafe (you know my weakness – Devonshire cream… divine!) and then, onwards to Basildon! 🍰
This show, by the way, is by the spectacular East Anglian Dance Company! These talented ladies and gents are bringing a beautiful ballet to Basildon and, with this kind of energy and a show-stopping tutu, you just know this ballerina is ready for a day to remember! ✨
Now, imagine me twirling and prancing around Basildon – because yes, you absolutely know I’ll be embracing every inch of that gorgeous, historic, art deco building! You wouldn’t want me to just watch the ballet, would you? I’ve gotta get a feel for the space! 🩰
If you're a little bit jealous, don't worry, my dears! You too can find your inner ballerina. There’s a whole world of ballet waiting out there, just for you! From the grace of the Royal Ballet to the energy of the local dance school, just take a chance! It doesn’t matter if you’re 2 or 92 - everyone can experience the magic of ballet!
And remember, everyone looks fantastic in a pink tutu! It's a confidence booster, a fun way to express yourself, and a wonderful conversation starter. It doesn't matter if you're at the ballet, on a train platform, or just strolling around your favourite park. 😉
