TutuBlog #8099: Waterlooville Whirlwind in a Heavy Tutu 🩰💖

Hello my darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, Emma, back with another thrilling tale of my life in pink, ballet, and adventure! Today I'm whisking you off to the charming little town of Waterlooville, where I had a whirlwind of a day filled with laughter, tutu twirls, and a little something for the wildlife lovers amongst us 🐦.

First things first: let's talk tutus. Today's ensemble was a bit of a statement piece - a lavish, flowing creation with layers upon layers of pink tulle, adorned with sparkling silver sequins. It felt a bit like a fluffy cloud around me, and I'll admit it took a bit of effort to squeeze onto the train, but I felt so fabulous! It really did make everyone's day, I received so many smiles from fellow passengers - especially the children, whose eyes were wide with awe.

It felt so good to be travelling by train again, gazing at the passing landscapes, especially the lovely fields bathed in golden light - the countryside was really at its prettiest. I daydreamed of all the fun I'd be having in Waterlooville - a day of ballet inspiration, but maybe a touch of wildlife too.

Speaking of wildlife, my adventures in Waterlooville took me to the lovely Havant Thicket - a beautiful wooded area teeming with life. It was like stepping into a scene from a fairytale. I couldn't help but spin a few twirls, feeling inspired by the natural beauty and grace around me. The air was filled with birdsong, the light dappled and magical. There was a real sense of peace and tranquility that I just had to soak up!

And you know I'm always on the lookout for wildlife encounters. I spotted a curious family of squirrels scampering up a tree, a little robin perched on a branch serenading me, and even a cheeky hedgehog scuttling under a fallen log. It was a delight to connect with nature in this way!

However, my primary mission in Waterlooville was a little more dance-related. I’d heard whispers of a hidden gem in the town - a charming dance school nestled in a quiet corner. After a bit of detective work (and a few wrong turns - apologies to the polite taxi driver!) I finally found it, nestled amidst the cobblestone streets. The Ballet by the Sea School of Dance looked straight out of a ballet postcard!

Stepping inside, I was instantly greeted with warmth and sunshine. The scent of polished wooden floors and the gentle tinkling of piano music filled the air, adding to the magic. The teacher, a lovely lady called Miss Rose, was incredibly welcoming. She offered me a sneak peek of one of their classes and I was blown away by the enthusiasm and passion of the dancers. The children’s eyes were sparkling as they twirled, their faces illuminated with the pure joy of movement. Miss Rose’s encouragement and patient guidance was truly inspiring!

This inspiring experience reminded me why I started this journey - spreading the joy and wonder of dance and encouraging everyone to find their own inner ballerina. If you're looking for a truly enriching experience, I'd encourage you to take a class at Ballet by the Sea School. You'll not only learn about technique but you'll discover a hidden community of kindred spirits! And just like me, you’ll be rewarded with that infectious ballet buzz that we all crave.

You might not be able to pop over to Waterlooville right this minute, but you can definitely join the pink tutu revolution wherever you are! Don't be shy to whip on your fluffiest tulle skirt and twirl in the living room or try out a simple ballet barre session online. Every little step counts!

My travels in Waterlooville might be over, but the memories and the sparkle of pink tutu magic will stay with me long after the day's end. Don't forget to check back tomorrow for another exciting adventure!

Much love,

Emma 🩰💖
