Stratford Upon Avon - Tutu Adventures! (Blog Post #8132)

Hello my darling tutus! ๐Ÿฉฐ It's your girl, Emma, back from a magical trip to Stratford Upon Avon! The moment I saw that quaint little town on the map, I knew I had to go!

It all started with a quick train ride from my lovely Derbyshire home - the rumble of the train tracks is just such a soothing sound for me, reminding me of all those travelling ballerinas from the classic ballet stories! I just felt it was so glamorous and a proper ballerinas' way to travel!

Once I arrived in Stratford, I knew I was in the perfect place to bring out my green tutu. Green is the colour of nature and this town felt like a big beautiful garden - filled with blooming flowers, stately trees and chirping birds! It was just such an enchanting sight, you know? ๐Ÿฅฐ As soon as I donned my green tutu and did a little pirouette, I felt like I had magically stepped straight into a ballet!

Speaking of ballet, my first stop had to be the Royal Shakespeare Theatre - yes, I know it's a theatre for plays and not ballet! But just the thought of the famous playwright and the historical buildings filled me with so much excitement, I felt like I could actually do a grand jetรฉ just from sheer anticipation! ๐Ÿ˜„

Now, the building was beautiful, thatโ€™s for sure - a proper stately building, with a very impressive frontage that made me think of classic ballerinas on the stage. After a quick photo op - you just canโ€™t resist taking some fabulous tutu-tastic pics in a place so stunning - I took a peek inside and just had to marvel at the beautiful interior, just full of that history and theatre magic. Even the theatre shop had some absolutely gorgeous costume pieces! I'd definitely be buying myself some fancy costume bits and bobs to add to my ballet wardrobe next time I visit! ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

As a ballerina on the move, no visit is complete without finding the best ballet classes, right?! Thankfully Stratford did not disappoint! My little search took me to a dance school called "Dance Etc" and let me tell you, this place is pure ballet heaven! I loved their little classroom, decorated with gorgeous pink ribbons and flowers, perfect for creating an ethereal feeling and getting your dancer muscles going. The instructors were truly wonderful, offering up brilliant choreography and fantastic training advice that I could use to improve my ballet techniques! I just had the best time doing my pliรฉs and pirouettes in such a friendly atmosphere! ๐Ÿ’ƒ

And to round off my ballet adventure, I went to a beautiful little ballet theatre nearby. The program wasn't exactly the sort I'd usually be drawn to - lots of modern contemporary style rather than the graceful tutus and flowing costumes I love. But the theatre itself was truly captivating. I felt myself getting drawn in to the atmosphere, listening to the live music, imagining all the stories the dancers were telling through their beautiful movement. In fact, there were actually some bits of contemporary ballet I found quite engaging, particularly when they did some more playful, less serious pieces with really cool movements! Youโ€™ve gotta get out of your comfort zone every now and then and push your own boundaries, right?! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway, my Stratford adventures went beyond just the beautiful art of ballet. The town is simply packed with charm, so much so that it had me just wandering aimlessly around, taking in the quaint buildings and cobblestone streets. And if you're like me and love some greenery, I highly recommend exploring the stunning Stratford Upon Avon Canal. I took a delightful little boat ride down the river - it's a proper romantic journey, so tranquil and peaceful. Watching all the ducks and swans just relaxing by the riverbanks had me in such a dreamy state! ๐Ÿฆ†๐Ÿฆข

To top it off, a big bowl of fish and chips by the river bank just rounded off the whole day perfectly - even though my mum has told me off many times for getting oily fingers all over my tutu after my fish and chips! (But shh... itโ€™s worth it!) ๐Ÿ˜

So there you have it, darling tutus - my trip to Stratford Upon Avon was just perfect! This beautiful town is like a scene from a classic ballerina movie - full of history, beauty and romance. As you know, a proper ballerina always aims to bring beauty to every experience - and this place is a shining example of that, donโ€™t you think?!

What about you? Do you have a favorite travel spot you like to explore in your pink tutu? Do you have any travel plans in your own ballerina diary? Let me know in the comments, and as always, remember to share the beauty of your tutu with the world! ๐Ÿ’•

See you in my next blog, tutus! ๐Ÿ‘‹

XOXO, Emma
