Blyth Bound: Pink Tutu Power in a Coastal Town! 🩰💕

Hey loves! It’s your girl, Emma, signing in from the lovely little town of Blyth, nestled on the stunning Northumberland coast. As you know, my journey is all about sharing my passion for ballet with the world – a world I believe deserves a little more pink, a little more twirling, and definitely more tutus! Today's adventure marks post number 8184, so settle in with a cuppa (and maybe a pink cupcake – they're my new obsession) as I spill all the tea on my Blyth escapade!

The journey, of course, was half the fun! I adore travelling by train, with the rhythm of the tracks almost like the rhythm of a barre, don’t you think? It was a scenic journey with the changing countryside scenery constantly changing as I dashed toward my destination. I even managed to catch a glimpse of some magnificent deer – my wild heart was so happy!

Blyth was a delightful surprise. A coastal town bursting with charm, and surprisingly a great location for my pink tutu escapades! Let's face it, there’s no better way to make a statement than with a bright pink tutu. I couldn't resist striking a pose with the vibrant beach huts and colourful boats.

Did I mention my new obsession with these magnificent outfits called 'tutubags?' Let’s just say they are perfect for any ballet lover, and with my favourite pink tutu tucked away inside, it meant my tutu could always travel with me, ready for any impromptu twirling!

This visit to Blyth wouldn’t be complete without an afternoon spent at the Blyth Playhouse, a stunning art deco theatre. It's got that old-school glamour I love, you know? The smell of history, the velvety red seats, the hushed whispers before the curtain rises...it all transports me! This time it was a show called "Dancing Through the Decades" - a spectacular journey of dance history!

The whole experience was fantastic – a blend of beautiful dance styles and captivating performances that kept me enthralled! I danced along in my seat, the rhythm coursing through me. Even a few audience members caught me smiling and waving my hand to the beat of the music! After all, when you wear a bright pink tutu, it's impossible to hide your joy.

Of course, no ballet-lover’s journey is complete without visiting a local dance studio. I had the absolute pleasure of visiting "Blyth Dance Academy" and joining their ballet class. Now, the dancers there were an inspiration, each one dedicated and brimming with passion.

It's true what they say, you never stop learning, even when you think you know everything. These budding dancers showed me how much passion is in the simple act of moving your body, connecting with music and telling a story with each step.

In between ballet explorations, I discovered a hidden gem! The Blyth Beach Café, tucked away near the harbour, offers a breathtaking view of the coastline with delicious and fluffy homemade cakes. The perfect spot to relax after an exciting day, enjoy the local treats and a glass of elderflower juice, all whilst contemplating my next blog post!

Blyth really surprised me. I wasn’t expecting a coastal town with a ballet-loving community, but it totally exceeded my expectations!

For all my fellow pink-tutu lovers out there, my message is simple – don’t be afraid to embrace your inner ballerina. Don’t shy away from putting on your own tutu and dancing your heart out, wherever you are. Life's too short not to celebrate movement, beauty and fun in its every form!

You know I live by this saying – “Never stop twirling”
