Loughborough: A Whirlwind of Orange

Hello my darlings! 🩰 It's Emma here, back with you for post number 8371 from the heart of the vibrant and energetic Loughborough!

Today's adventure involved something a little bit different – I traded in my usual pink tutu for a dazzling orange one! I know, I know, a bold choice! But let me tell you, it was the perfect colour to brighten up this already sunny day. ☀️

I decided on this colour scheme to celebrate the opening of a new ballet studio in Loughborough. This exciting new space is nestled amidst the charming, quaint streets and it's filled with so much energy, excitement and... of course, gorgeous dance floors. I literally bounced off the walls when I stepped through the door – you all know how much I love the thrill of discovering a new space to dance in.

This was a double treat because the new studio was holding a grand opening event that included a whole evening of breathtaking ballet and even ballet street classes – how amazing is that?!

I decided to make a day of it, taking a train from my hometown of Derby – nothing beats a train journey with a good book and some gorgeous scenery, wouldn’t you agree? It’s definitely the way to travel.

After a morning spent exploring the lovely, friendly streets of Loughborough, I grabbed a spot for the tantalizing, perfectly delicious afternoon tea. I mean, it was so pink that it felt practically custom made for my inner ballet princess – how could I resist? 🌸

The evening was a true delight – I’m not sure which was better, the gorgeous ballet performances, or the dynamic ballet street classes. Honestly, I don't know why there’s this divide – every style of ballet deserves recognition, every graceful movement is deserving of applause!

Let me tell you, I can’t even tell you how inspired I was by the talented dancers who poured their heart and soul onto the stage and into the studio. I was so excited to catch up with old friends and meet new dance enthusiasts. The atmosphere was full of unadulterated joy, which honestly just proves how magical ballet truly is. ✨

You all know how passionate I am about encouraging people of all ages, sizes, shapes and abilities to take the leap and experience the wonderful world of ballet. My mission, you see, is to make everyone, and I mean everyone, twirl and prance in a pink tutu, even if it's just once. 🩰

That’s why my favourite thing about Loughborough was spotting this incredible piece of wildlife… a swan! It’s not that often you get to see a graceful, elegant swan gliding through the water. And don’t you agree? It’s practically the embodiment of all that is elegant and ballet-inspired – it’s just a natural ballet star, you know?

I've been meaning to make it to Loughborough for ages and let me tell you, it was well worth the wait. It's an incredibly beautiful and lively town that’s steeped in history with such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

And guess what? This amazing experience is all about spreading the ballet love. And for that reason, it’s even more amazing for being orange-tutu approved. 😂

Well, my lovelies, that’s me for now.

Keep twirling, and until next time… stay fabulous. 💕

Yours in Pink,

Emma
