Earley Calling! Pink Tutu Takes on a Wider World

Hello darlings! It’s Emma, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballet enthusiast, and I’m bubbling over with excitement because guess where I am? Earley! Yes, that's right! This beautiful, quaint little town in Berkshire has been calling me for months, and today, I finally answered.

Now, I know what you're thinking - "Emma, why Earley?". It might not be the obvious choice for a budding ballerina on a grand adventure, but let me tell you, Earley holds a certain charm.

Firstly, the name! It has such a soft, romantic sound, almost whispering secrets of grand gardens and delicate flowers, which, as you know, are a favourite subject of mine. Secondly, the location! Situated in a leafy, green corner of Berkshire, just a hop, skip, and a train ride from London, Earley is a little oasis of calm and serenity, perfect for a tutu-wearing princess in search of some creative inspiration.

I arrived in Earley by train, a much more elegant form of travel than taking the car, wouldn’t you say? (Although, the carriage had those delightful vintage seats and the journey included a gorgeous sunrise – I do love the view when you’re travelling through countryside). The air was filled with the sweet scents of roses and freshly cut grass, and a gentle breeze tickled my cheeks. It felt like a fairytale beginning, with me, my big pink tutu, and the wide, wide world waiting for me.

But what made this trip extra special was a particular, unique reason, a little something I was absolutely bursting to share with all of you. I’m heading to the Earley Ballet Festival! It's a festival I've been wanting to attend for ages! It's not every day, darlings, you stumble upon a festival completely devoted to the beauty and elegance of ballet. How exciting is that?

I already feel so lucky and I know this is going to be such a fabulous opportunity to indulge my passion for ballet. Not just any ballet, but ballet in all its wonderful guises.

As the weekend progresses, I'm planning on attending workshops, immersing myself in ballet choreography, catching performances both traditional and contemporary, and taking a little stroll through the lovely town to maybe even find a vintage tutu store! Now that would be an absolute dream.

But my Earley adventures are not limited to the festival, of course! You all know how much I love exploring new places, and I can't wait to delve into Earley’s quaint and charming little shops, have tea at a beautiful cafe, and take long walks amidst the blooming flowers in the surrounding parks. Perhaps I might even catch a glimpse of a local ballet dancer on their way to the festival! Imagine, darlings! I am so incredibly excited.

Don’t worry though, my dear readers, you’ll be seeing photos and hearing all the details of my time in Earley very soon. And I can't wait to share it with you, because even though Earley is a little off the beaten track, it’s become the perfect setting for me to live out a ballet dream. It just shows you don’t have to go far to find magic and adventure, sometimes, you just need to look for it, even if it involves a wider tutu, an open mind, and a heart full of passion for life and the lovely world we live in.

See you soon! Emma xx
