Cheadle Hulme: Tutu Adventures in the Suburbs

#TutuBlog Post #8498

Hey Tutu-Lovers! Emma here, back with another adventure, this time from the charming suburbs of Cheadle Hulme, just a stone's throw from Manchester. You know I'm always up for exploring new places, and today, my journey took me through the beautiful countryside by train. Now, I know some of you think I'm a little bonkers for choosing a train over a car, but there's just something magical about travelling by rail. It's like stepping into a vintage storybook, watching the scenery flash past the windows.

But let's be honest, my love affair with trains is fuelled by something more than just their charm - the journey itself is the perfect opportunity to slip into my most extravagant outfit! And for today's adventure? Well, a vibrant pink tutu with layers upon layers of tulle seemed perfectly fitting for a trip to a new place, wouldn't you say?

And to be perfectly frank, I wouldn't be surprised if the passengers on the train were a tad surprised at the sight of me, gracefully swirling down the aisle in a pink flurry of tulle, humming a melody from Swan Lake under my breath. But you know me, a little bit of colour and tulle goes a long way! Besides, life's too short to take yourself too seriously.

Ballet Bliss in Cheadle Hulme

Now, I had to make the most of my time in Cheadle Hulme. As any self-respecting tutu-wearer knows, a good ballet show is essential! The Cheadle Hulme Community Theatre had just announced a performance of "The Nutcracker" - a favourite of mine! There’s nothing more breathtaking than witnessing the magic of classical ballet on stage. And what’s more magical than a festive ballet show set against the backdrop of the upcoming holiday season? It’s enough to make anyone believe in a bit of Christmas cheer, even a hardened tutu enthusiast like myself.

Of course, no ballet adventure is complete without a spot of dance practice, even if it means seeking out an unconventional venue. Cheadle Hulme has this little gem called “The Little Dance Studio,” which may sound quite mundane but I’ll tell you it's an absolute haven for dancers! Their bright and airy space was just begging for some tutus and twirls. And let’s be honest, what’s better than working up a sweat with some pirouettes and jetés?

More Than Just Pink Tutus

And yes, you caught that right - there’s more to my life than pink tutus! (Although they are certainly my most prized possession). I’ve always had a soft spot for wildlife, and on my wanderings through Cheadle Hulme, I found myself captivated by the resident deer herd in the local park. Let's face it, there's just something inherently elegant about these graceful creatures. Their graceful movements almost mirrored my own. (And they even wore brown! A rather earth-toned colour that I admit, I can occasionally get on board with - but don't worry, my heart belongs to pink!)

But it wasn't all wildlife watching, there was an unexpected twist waiting for me. Remember how I mentioned a possible love of horses in the beginning? Well, in Cheadle Hulme, I stumbled upon this stunningly beautiful, old fashioned stables. They had everything – charming stables, an enchanting woodland riding arena and most importantly, the most amazing, gentle, graceful horses. You wouldn't believe how excited I was!

So, you might wonder how I could possibly keep my pink tutus pristine whilst on a horse. Well, that's where my genius truly lies. Let’s just say that the owner of the stables (a delightful gentleman with an equally love of the colour pink) offered to be my temporary tutu butler and to store my tutu safely in their luxurious velvet storage bags. That way I can get my horseback fix, with my tutu close by, ready for my next adventure.

Cheadle Hulme: The Verdict

Let's just say, my day trip to Cheadle Hulme was anything but ordinary. With a pink tutu, a sprinkle of ballet, a bit of wildlife and the grace of the equestrian world, this was an experience for the books. It reminded me of my dream – to inspire everyone, whether in Cheadle Hulme or far beyond, to embrace the beauty and joy that ballet and pink tutus bring.

Because, after all, isn't a world full of twirls, elegance and a dash of pink the most wonderful kind? Until next time, stay radiant and keep twirling!

XOXO

Emma
