Nottingham - The City of Tutus! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’– (Post #8519)

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your resident pink tutu princess, reporting live from the beautiful city of Nottingham! ๐Ÿ’– And guess what? I'm wearing a brand new white tutu! ๐Ÿ’ƒ I've always been a sucker for the classic white tutu โ€“ it's so elegant and timeless. It feels a bit different from my usual pink but this crisp autumn air called for a touch of something a bit fresh and crisp. It even matches the magnificent Victorian architecture here in Nottingham. It feels almost like I've stepped straight into a Jane Austen novel! ๐Ÿ“š

I arrived in Nottingham on the train this morning โ€“ it's one of my favourite ways to travel, especially when you can get a window seat and soak in the English countryside views. The journey was super comfy, and I even spotted a whole herd of deer grazing in a field. ๐ŸฆŒ It felt so serene, just like the ballet! ๐Ÿฉฐ

The moment I stepped off the train at Nottingham station, the vibrant atmosphere of the city instantly charmed me. I love how friendly everyone is. I wandered around the beautiful city centre, admiring the historic buildings, cobblestone streets, and stunning Victorian architecture. My favourite part was the historic castle, which sits proudly atop a hill overlooking the city, giving you incredible views. From the top, you can almost see all the way to the peak district. I love the feeling of being high above the hustle and bustle of the city and connecting with nature at the same time. โ›ฐ๏ธ

Speaking of hustle and bustle, you might have noticed that Nottingham has been on my radar recently. The reason? A brand new ballet school has just opened up! And this isn't just any ordinary ballet school, darling. It's a proper state of the art, stunning affair with beautiful wood floors and the most elegant mirrors. It even has its own beautiful and expansive dance studio, making it the perfect place to take a class, watch a performance, or just enjoy a lovely cuppa and admire the stunning space!

Of course, I couldn't resist dropping by for a quick ballet class, and I am now obsessed! The class was simply delightful! ๐Ÿ’ƒ The instructor was so welcoming and encouraging, and she even let me try out the new "swan lake" costume - which is the ultimate ballet fashion experience! You feel like a swan yourself! ๐Ÿฆข I'm planning on making it my regular spot in Nottingham from now on.

Of course, a visit to Nottingham wouldn't be complete without a little cultural exploration. Nottingham is home to an array of theatres, from the majestic Theatre Royal to the independent Lace Market Theatre, a charming, small space with so much history behind it. I was lucky enough to catch a live ballet performance at the Theatre Royal this evening. The show was absolutely breathtaking! It was a performance of "Sleeping Beauty" which, of course, is my absolute favourite! ๐Ÿฉฐ The choreography was divine, the music magical, and the costumes simply magnificent. The story was told beautifully, with intricate detail and elegance, and left me wanting to twirl the night away!

After the performance, I enjoyed a delicious, creamy coffee from a local cafรฉ - so much nicer than a plain old latte. I'm enjoying some lovely traditional sticky toffee pudding as I write this. Itโ€™s not exactly a ballerina-approved dessert but it was just too tempting to pass up! ๐Ÿฎ Let's just say my tutu needs a good iron now!

And if thereโ€™s one thing that makes my little ballerina heart sing itโ€™s a spot of pink. And Nottingham, darlings, is awash with the color of love! From the gorgeous pastel shades of the Victorian architecture to the gorgeous pink flowers I spotted in a local flower shop. If I wasn't already planning on moving here this town just won me over. ๐ŸŒธ

Of course, Nottingham is more than just ballet and beauty. The city has a rich history and culture that goes beyond anything I could possibly write about in just one post. From Robin Hood and his famous Sherwood Forest to the vibrant nightlife, thereโ€™s something to discover around every corner. I really can't wait to return! I just need to add this fabulous pink tutu to my luggage and maybe a spare pair of tights (you never know!) I promise to give you all a full rundown in my next blog post! Iโ€™m even planning on starting my own tutu tour of the town for you, so keep your eyes peeled!

As always, sending you all the biggest pinkest hug from Nottingham! Lots of love! ๐Ÿ’– Emma
