Bradford Bound! 💖🩰 (Post #8527)

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, ready to whisk you away on another pink tutu adventure. Today's escapade? Bradford, Yorkshire, my dears! Think cobbled streets, bustling markets, and oh, the most charming little independent shops bursting with vintage finds.

It's been a while since I’ve ventured this far north. But I’m always ready for a new adventure and, of course, the perfect excuse to don a new tutu! This time, I chose my bright cyan, almost electric blue, creation with shimmering layers of tulle. It was a bit of a bold choice for a city that doesn't often spring to mind for fashion. But, as you know, breaking the mould is my middle name (after Emma, obviously!). 😉

The train journey was pure bliss, windows down, wind whipping through my hair as I admired the changing landscape. Oh, and I did indulge in a bit of 'Pink Toffee' from a charming little stall. Because you can't travel without a sweet treat, can you?

I decided to start my day at the Bradford City Park and let me tell you, it was such a vibrant and beautiful spot! Water fountains, gardens, art installations... And did I mention a huge digital wall playing projections of, well, you guessed it... ballet performances? I literally could have spent the entire day there!

Afterwards, I had a smashing lunch at a quirky cafe where they served amazing cakes and scones – and a huge pot of tea, of course. My outfit turned heads everywhere! I swear, I saw smiles appear on people's faces whenever they caught a glimpse of the bright, billowing tulle.

In the afternoon, it was time to take a little jaunt around the city centre. You wouldn't believe the vintage clothes shops! They're overflowing with the most amazing finds! I snagged a pair of delicate gloves (they're going to look divine with my burgundy tutu - watch this space!) and an exquisite vintage pin for my hair, all perfect for adding a little touch of glamour.

Of course, I couldn’t leave Bradford without attending a real ballet show. The Bradford Playhouse is such a lovely theatre – all velvet seats and old-world charm. Tonight's show was “Swan Lake”, and it was truly magical. The dancing was phenomenal and the costumes were just spectacular.

You know, I’m not ashamed to say that a little tear escaped my eye when the final curtain fell. I'm a sentimental soul at heart and ballet always brings back those feelings of childhood magic. There's something so awe-inspiring about watching talented dancers tell stories through their bodies.

After the show, I treated myself to a delicious dinner at a tiny Italian restaurant with delicious garlic bread – yum! I just can't resist carbs, can I? It's definitely been one of those whirlwind days that makes you feel truly alive, the kind of day that leaves you humming to yourself and looking forward to all the adventures that life has in store.

You know, my little pink tutu travels always leave me feeling completely inspired. I just adore showing off these wonderful garments, and it always seems to light up people’s days. Maybe that’s my calling: spreading joy, inspiring laughter, and encouraging others to explore the beautiful world of ballet through a simple, pink, perfectly pompom- adorned tutu!

Until tomorrow, my sweet dears. Let's keep it fabulous, shall we? 💖🩰

With love,

Emma x
