Chester, My Darling! 🩰 Pink Tutu Diaries #8580

Hello lovelies! 💋

It’s Emma here, back from another fabulously pink adventure. Today’s post is a little bit special, as it marks the end of a fantastic year in the world of pink tutus! 🎊 I can’t believe 2019 is done and dusted already. But, don’t you worry, I’ve still got lots of glittery adventures planned for 2020!

Now, where were we? Ah yes, Chester!

This stunning, historic city is absolutely brimming with charm, and it was the perfect spot to celebrate the festive season in true pink tutu style! 🎉 I love the mix of old and new here – the cobbled streets and Roman walls combined with the modern, bustling life of a vibrant city. It’s got a bit of something for everyone, really.

This trip started as I always prefer it - a luxurious journey by train! I popped on my pink tutu (obvs!) and settled in for the scenic journey. There’s nothing quite like the wind in your hair and a pink tutu flowing behind you as the countryside rushes past, is there? 😍 I always feel like a ballerina, twirling through a beautiful, picturesque stage!

But let’s get back to Chester… I decided to spend the day exploring the delightful city centre. There were independent boutiques filled with treasures, delicious cafés serving steaming hot chocolate, and a fabulous bookshop where I found myself absolutely lost in a sea of tales. 📖

I just love that feeling of being a child again, totally absorbed in a magical world. I’m always happiest surrounded by stories. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the drama of the stage – the lights, the costumes, the dancing – but a well-told story can transport me to any place in the world, any time. That's the real magic! ✨

And speaking of magic, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Diaries adventure without a spot of ballet, right? 🩰 The Chester Grosvenor Hotel is one of my favourite places in the city for ballet – it has beautiful rooms perfect for dancing. I spent a couple of hours taking a private class and working on some new moves, channeling my inner prima ballerina.

That night, I got to enjoy a special Christmas show! It was a ballet-themed performance with a real festive touch, featuring gorgeous costumes, twirling ballerinas, and an overall heartwarming charm. I don’t think I can truly capture it in words. You had to be there! But trust me, it was magnificent.

To top off the night, I found myself surrounded by deer! Yes, dear readers, deer! 🦌 As I wandered through the streets, a family of deer crossed my path, just chilling on the cobbled road. I felt like I was in a fairytale! ✨ I even managed to get a selfie with them (with a safe distance of course!) – you can find it on my Instagram (don't forget to check out my latest stories!), but honestly, it doesn’t even capture the pure magic of the moment.

The next day, I took a long stroll along the Dee, a picturesque river winding through Chester. 🚶‍♀️ I absolutely love being near water. It has a calming, rejuvenating effect, doesn’t it? The gentle flow and the constant rhythm of nature - it feels like my soul is taking a deep breath. And this stroll was a real treat! I spotted a variety of birdlife on the river banks, and the views were truly stunning. I sat down on a bench, closed my eyes, and listened to the sounds of the river. It was the perfect moment of quiet contemplation after a bustling day in the city.

One thing that really surprised me in Chester was the fabulous selection of tea rooms. ☕ There was this charming one tucked away on a cobbled street. I got myself the most wonderful afternoon tea – all delicate finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream (my favourite!), and a selection of delectable little cakes and pastries. Of course, the tea itself was served in the most elegant porcelain teapot. Honestly, the whole experience felt so luxurious and charming!

But for me, a trip wouldn't be complete without some fashion-related discoveries! 🛍️ In the beautiful, independent boutiques of Chester, I found some fabulous new additions to my pink tutu collection. A pair of sparkly ballet flats perfect for adding a touch of glamour to my everyday wardrobe, a chic beret (my inner French ballerina always wants one of those!), and some gorgeous, statement jewellery. ✨ I absolutely love supporting small businesses and finding those unique treasures that speak to my personal style.

As the evening descended upon Chester, I decided to take one last walk around the Roman walls. Walking along the top, you get incredible views of the city. It felt like looking out at a world waiting to be explored! I felt an overwhelming sense of possibility – for the future, for the adventures ahead! 🌌

All too soon, it was time to say goodbye to Chester. This incredible city really has a special place in my heart now, full of magical memories, delicious treats, and a truly unique, welcoming charm. It’s a place where pink tutus truly belong, a place for those who want to twirl and shine and let their imagination soar! ✨

And to you, my dearest readers, I’m sending my love and sparkly blessings! 💖 Don’t forget to share your own pink tutu adventures with me! Tell me all about the places you've discovered, the dreams you've chased, the smiles you've shared! And most importantly, remember, everyone can wear a pink tutu, and everyone can dance! 💖

Until next time! Emma xoxo
