TutuBlog Post #8619: Feltham - Food, Friends, and Fabulous Tutus!

Hello, darlings! It's Emma here, back from another adventure in my trusty pink tutu. This week, I hopped aboard the train and headed to Feltham for a delightful mix of food, friendship, and, of course, some glorious ballet!

Train Tracks & Tutu Dreams

Feltham is a charming little town tucked away in west London. I love the charm of a train journey - the rhythm of the tracks, the ever-changing landscapes whizzing past the window, the excitement of reaching a new destination. It feels like travelling through time! This time, my trusty tutu felt extra fluffy as I envisioned a delicious afternoon of cake and dancing with my friends.

Feasting in Feltham

First on the agenda - indulging in a scrumptious afternoon tea at a lovely little café called "The Pink Flamingo." (Just my kind of place!) They had the most delicious selection of finger sandwiches, fluffy scones with clotted cream, and delicate pastries – a feast for both the eyes and the tummy! I had to be a little careful with the pastries, as I had a show later that evening, but I was still able to savour every bite!

Dance With Me!

Of course, a trip to Feltham wouldn’t be complete without a little dance. We had the absolute pleasure of catching a ballet performance at the local theatre. It was a gorgeous production of “Giselle” and the dancers were truly amazing! They glided across the stage with effortless grace, each movement radiating strength and emotion. It was pure magic. It also gave me lots of inspiration for my own ballet classes later that week. My instructor was quite impressed with my new moves!

Tutu Tales from Feltham

There was something so captivating about watching professional dancers soar and leap with such skill. I found myself drawn into their world, feeling a strong desire to take to the stage myself. My heart raced, I felt a buzz of energy!

But, of course, even a ballet performance couldn't eclipse my love for tutus. I spotted a charming little shop tucked away in a side street selling tutus and dancewear. It felt like stepping into a world of fairytale enchantment. I spent a good half an hour trying on all sorts of colours and designs, trying to decide which one would make my next performance a real stand-out! (You know me, I'm a girl who loves her options!)

Wildlife Wonders

Feltham is also home to the delightful Osterley Park & House. It’s a truly enchanting spot with expansive gardens, a lake, and even a herd of deer roaming freely. Now, deer are something close to my heart, you see. I grew up surrounded by them back in Derbyshire. Watching them graze and play under the golden afternoon sun brought a sense of tranquility. It felt a bit like stepping back in time - like I was on a countryside escape from the hustle and bustle of London!

A Call to All My Tutu-Wearing Lovelies

And this is just another reminder, darlings, that life is about adventure. It’s about experiencing new things, making memories, and spreading joy with every step. Embrace your inner sparkle. Embrace the dance of life. Don’t be afraid to express yourself, to try something new. Wear your tutus with pride, and maybe even consider joining a ballet class. You never know, it might be the start of a wonderful new journey for you!
