I just love escaping to the coast whenever I can! The fresh salty air does wonders for the soul, especially after a week spent twirling and leaping at the ballet studio. Speaking of which, let me tell you about my adventure!
This week was a whirlwind of ballet, seaside strolls, and lots of laughter. I kicked things off with a visit to the local ballet class - something I try to do wherever I travel. Imagine me, standing tall amongst the locals, ready to leap, in my oh-so-pretty yellow tutu - oh, it was magical!
You see, I believe ballet should be enjoyed by everyone. Whether you're a seasoned ballerina like me or just starting your pirouette journey, there's a beauty and elegance in the graceful movements. It's truly a form of art that speaks to the soul! 💕
Anyway, back to my adventures... After class, I treated myself to a delicious seafood lunch. (I’m a bit of a fish fanatic!) As I gazed out over the glistening waves, my mind was flooded with visions of ballerinas dancing along the beach. Perhaps I should write a new piece inspired by the ocean! 🌊 What do you think, dear readers?
From Ballet to the Coast
Folkestone was a treasure trove of things to do! I took a stroll along the bustling pier, watching families enjoy the traditional seaside fun, and then meandered through the quaint, charming streets. There's just something magical about wandering through seaside towns and discovering little hidden gems - like a quaint antique shop selling vintage ballet costumes, complete with fluffy tutus! 💖
Did you know, darling? It turns out I found the perfect vintage shop to get myself some exciting new ballet accessories! You see, my obsession with all things pink and glittery extends to ballet accessories, and this vintage shop was a gold mine of treasures! Just wait till you see the beautiful vintage dance shoes I found, complete with tiny sparkly details. 😉
I simply couldn't resist bringing back a little piece of the coast for my studio back in Derbyshire! Oh, my studio! You won't believe what a lovely haven it is for all things ballet. A little slice of magic in a quaint cottage tucked away in a quiet corner of the Dales. You really must come visit! I promise you a pink tutu welcome! 🎀
I had the chance to meet the kindest gentleman named Arthur who owned a charming horse-drawn carriage, the perfect transportation for a ballerina on a seaside escape. Imagine: Me, clad in my yellow tutu, riding through the quaint streets, feeling like a princess from a fairytale! 👑 Arthur told me so much about the local wildlife and even showed me some amazing bird watching spots! He said the harbour seals are truly a sight to behold. And he's right, they are absolutely breathtaking. 🦭
