Morden Calling: Tutu Adventures and a Pink Parade! 🩰🌸

Hey lovelies, Emma here, and I'm so excited to be back with you all for Blog Post #8660!

It’s been a while since I've given my tutu a good whirl, what with my Derbyshire adventures and my wild obsession with horse-riding (seriously, I'm nearly a pro!), but today's a different story!

I've finally hopped back on the trusty train and headed to sunny Morden. Now, I know what you're thinking – Morden? – not exactly the capital of high fashion and ballet brilliance, is it? But let me tell you, this little town is bursting with surprises, and I just had to share my adventure with you.

My first stop? The Morden Ballet School, of course! Tucked away in a quaint street, it felt like a portal to a world of plies and pirouettes. You know I had to break out the bright pink tutu (it was the perfect pick, don’t you agree?), just to get the day off to a magical start.

The students were adorable! Seeing their eager faces, all focused on perfect alignment and graceful extensions, it warmed my heart. You know I always try to inspire everyone to give ballet a go. Maybe even rock a tutu on the way to the shop? Who knows, we might just see a full-blown pink tutu parade one day! Wouldn’t that be fabulous?

Anyway, after my ballet visit, I headed straight for Morden Hall Park. Now, you may be surprised to hear this, but Morden has more than just trains and bus stops (don't get me wrong, I love a good train journey! And the smell of a crisp ticket from the little machines).

The park itself was a treasure trove of history and wildlife. The Tudor Manor House is gorgeous, just imagine waltzing down those beautiful stairs with a knight in shining armor. I'd imagine myself gliding, maybe even throwing in a pas de bourre for good measure – oh, the daydreams!

I even bumped into a few graceful swans while wandering along the river. Now, those elegant creatures could give any ballet dancer a run for their money. Their movements are pure artistry, and their graceful necks… I could almost picture myself as a majestic swan, swirling in the moonlight with a sparkly pink tutu, of course!

Honestly, the wildlife sightings weren't over. In fact, the park had this adorable little woodland trail that I just had to explore. Forget London Zoo, this was the real deal – birds chirping, squirrels scurrying, a world away from the bustling city. And you know me, I love nothing more than escaping to nature. Just picture me in a flowing pink tulle skirt, dancing through the woods, surrounded by all that fresh air and those stunning natural colours. Honestly, it was practically made for my Tutu blog, wasn't it?

The evening couldn’t be completed without a ballet performance, so I took a trip into central London for a show at Sadler’s Wells. It was amazing, an absolutely enchanting, powerful story with the most beautiful choreography. It took my breath away, you guys! Honestly, there’s just nothing quite like a night at the ballet. It's an escape from the ordinary, and sometimes I just need a little magic in my life.

I left Morden buzzing, a little sun-kissed, and absolutely full of inspiration! It’s proof that beauty and elegance can be found in unexpected places, and that even a little town can bring big smiles and dancing memories. So if you're looking for a little adventure and want to discover the beauty that awaits around every corner, why not step into your own tutu adventure and see where it takes you!

Now, I know you love seeing the Tutu-style outfits I wear for every blog, and today's no different! This bright pink number (of course, it has to be pink!), is an absolutely stunning, flowy dream that makes me want to spin around in endless circles.

I found it at a little boutique in the centre of Morden – what a fantastic coincidence, right?!

It’s actually inspired by a character in the show I saw last night, who was graceful, brave and utterly enchanting – just like my pink tutu, wouldn’t you say?

I paired the tutu with a black leather jacket (to bring a little bit of street-chic to the classic dancewear!), and, naturally, sparkling pink ballet shoes ( because why wouldn't you?!)

Of course, there are pictures for you all on my Pink-Tutu website. Have a look! What do you think? Should I get it in a hundred shades of pink, and wear one a day?

Don't forget, pink tutus aren’t just for ballet dancers, or those with a pink-obsessed blogger friend. Embrace your inner ballerina, darling, and give the pink tutu a try! You just might be surprised at how much you love it.

As always, I'd love to hear about your ballet and pink-tutu adventures. Tell me everything – where you went, what you saw, how you twirled. Remember, life is too short to live it in just a plain white ballet outfit, wouldn't you agree? Embrace the pink!

See you all tomorrow, darlings! Stay sparkly and beautiful.

Love, Emma 🌸 www.pink-tutu.com
