Bletchley Bound in a Blush - #TutuBlog 8697

Oh my darlings, it's a new day and another chance to twirl into adventure! Today I'm hopping aboard the train (yes, I do love the train journey - makes the excitement build like a crescendo!) for a quick jaunt down to Bletchley. Now, I know what you're thinking - Bletchley? Really, Emma? Well, hold on to your tutus because this is about so much more than a historical town (although, code breaking history is super cool).

It's about a ballet masterclass. A chance to refine the technique, push my pirouettes into that perfect extra half-turn, and to breathe life into a new choreography I've been playing with. Ballet, my darlings, is not just about fancy steps and tutus, though let's face it, who doesn't love a good tutu?! It's about finding grace in every move, pushing your boundaries and feeling truly alive in your body.

So, picture this: I'm rocking a pink tutu, my favourite colour and the epitome of playful femininity. This particular beauty is a bargain find from a vintage store in Derby (I told you, my little corner of Derbyshire is teeming with treasures!). Paired with my trusty ballet shoes, it's a stylish blend of vintage glamour and elegant simplicity, perfect for ballet-infused escapades. I'm sure my dear Nana, who was an avid fan of all things vintage and ballet, would approve.

Before setting off on my adventure, I did a little wander around my local wildlife park, as you know, nature is always a great source of inspiration. The deer were gracing us with their calm, majestic presence, the swans were gliding across the still water, and the fluffy little ducklings were chasing each other like miniature ballet dancers. It was so calming, I felt completely grounded and ready to embrace the day.

Speaking of embrace, my darling blog-a-holics, have you all embraced the pink tutu trend? I encourage you all to step outside your comfort zones and try it! Whether you wear it to ballet class, a picnic in the park, or a fancy event, a pink tutu is guaranteed to make you smile and feel like the most wonderful you. It's about finding the fun, embracing your inner child, and reminding ourselves that life should be celebrated with a twirl and a dash of whimsy.

But let's get back to my adventure. Arriving in Bletchley, the town held an unexpected charm. There's this really quaint cafe near the station, it has the best homemade scones. Just what I needed to refuel for my upcoming masterclass. I swear, it was as if they were baked with a touch of ballet magic!

Now, I’m not one for spilling secrets - a ballet class is a sacred space! - But trust me, it was truly amazing. We explored some brand-new choreography, got deep into technique, and even tackled a bit of “street-ballet” inspired movement. This was not your typical classical ballet! The music was high-energy and the moves had an infectious energy. It made me want to dance down the streets and bring my whimsical vision to life!

As my journey comes to a close, I can’t help but reflect on the beauty and power of dance, and the sheer joy it brings to my life. Ballet, for me, is more than just a hobby, it’s a way of life, a celebration of creativity and a connection to my inner spirit.

And to finish on a high note (pun intended, my darlings, pun intended), I've been working on a new "Pink Tutu Project" - a little challenge for you lovely followers! The idea is to share your own tutu moments! Whether it's a picture in a pink tutu at your local park, a video of a simple ballet routine you learned, or just a story about a time ballet made you happy, share it with the hashtag #PinkTutuProject on your social media channels. Let’s spread the magic of ballet and pink tutus all over the globe!

See you tomorrow for another #TutuBlog!

Lots of love and twirls,

Emma x
