Frome: Tutu Time in Somerset ๐Ÿฉฐโœจ

Hey Tutu Lovers! ๐Ÿ’–

It's your girl, Emma, here, checking in from a gorgeous little town called Frome in Somerset. This is post number 8747, and if you haven't guessed already, I'm absolutely smitten with this place.

So, I'm back on the road again. I do love my travels, and when it comes to exploring the UK, there's really no better way than by train. I mean, seriously, who wouldn't love the scenery whizzing by, a cup of tea in hand, and a book to keep me company? And the fact that you can hop off whenever you want to explore a new town? It's like a fairy tale.

But speaking of fairytales... let's talk tutus! Today I decided to pack my new delux leotard โ€“ a gorgeous blush pink, of course, with delicate lace detail โ€“ and a beautiful tulle tutu that shimmered like a thousand tiny stars. It's perfect for exploring a town like Frome, a place full of character, history, and artistic charm. I wouldn't be surprised if the very air here was infused with creative energy.

We're here for the Frome Festival โ€“ a week-long extravaganza of arts, crafts, music, and street performance. It's like a rainbow exploded in a market square โ€“ colourful, chaotic, and utterly delightful.

Now, the Frome Festival itself was an absolute treat! From the moment I stepped off the train, I was enveloped in a vibrant atmosphere. Every corner bustled with energy โ€“ a street performer weaving a magic tale with her mime, a band playing toe-tapping jazz, and vendors offering everything from handcrafted pottery to gourmet cheeses.

My heart was absolutely soaring. And why? You guessed it โ€“ there was a dance performance right in the heart of the market square. A group of young ballet dancers, their graceful movements drawing crowds of curious onlookers. Watching their leaps and pirouettes reminded me that beauty, passion, and art can truly be found everywhere โ€“ you just need to open your eyes and heart to it.

And let's talk about the Frome Independent โ€“ the town's monthly creative market. A true treasure trove of independent businesses, artisan stalls, and vintage treasures. Imagine rows upon rows of handcrafted jewellery, beautifully illustrated notebooks, hand-painted furniture, and antique glassware โ€“ a visual feast for the senses!

It's a place where you can discover one-of-a-kind pieces and support independent creativity. I found the most adorable antique brooch with a dancing ballerina on it โ€“ perfect for my collection!

While I'm here, I'm trying to embrace the laid-back Frome spirit. The kind of place where you wander into a charming coffee shop, lose track of time, and chat with friendly locals about everything from their favourite cheesemakers to their upcoming allotment adventures.

And then there's the nature. You can feel the peaceful energy of the countryside surrounding Frome, and the River Frome winding its way through the town. It feels like you can almost reach out and touch the calmness. And of course, what better way to soak up that tranquillity than by enjoying a picnic by the river with a good book and my ever-present travel thermos filled with fragrant herbal tea?

For my ballet enthusiast friends, Frome holds another special treasure โ€“ a delightful ballet school tucked away in a charming street. Seeing the little ones learning the first steps of ballet was pure joy, and it filled me with so much hope for the future of ballet. Their little smiles were pure magic.

Frome reminded me again, just as every journey does, of how the beauty of the world lies in its smaller corners, in its vibrant people, its rich culture, and its natural wonder. And, of course, in the tutus we wear.

Because my dear Tutu lovers, here's the thing: it's not just about wearing a tutu; it's about the energy you bring with it. It's about feeling confident, embracing joy, and celebrating your own unique style. And you can do it anywhere, in any town, city, or even a sleepy village.

As I pack my bags to move on to the next adventure, Frome has captured a piece of my heart. The energy here is infectious โ€“ it's all about connection, creativity, and celebrating life, with a hint of vintage charm.

Stay tuned for more of my adventures as I share my journey through life in my tutu. Because my Tutu lovers, we are all connected by the love of dance, a shared desire to express ourselves and a deep passion for beauty in all its forms.

Remember: Wear your tutu proudly and spread the pink-tutu-joy!

With love and twirls,

Emma ๐Ÿ’–
