Hello my darling darlings,

Today I’m going to take you on a whistle-stop tour of Westminster, London, and reveal to you all the fabulously pink fun I’ve been having here! It’s the kind of city where a pink tutu never feels out of place, trust me, and this little pink number is just begging to twirl its way through the streets!

First things first, let’s talk about transport. Forget those dreary buses and smelly underground trains, this girl travels in style. You see, when I arrive in London, it’s always a magical experience. No crowded carriages for me, darling! Instead, I always try to grab a carriage ride through the heart of the city. It’s just the most exhilarating way to soak up the vibrant energy of London! Horses clip clopping, the sunshine dancing on the cobbles, and the air full of excited chatter. Perfect.

Today’s grand adventure was all about ballet, my love. I am, after all, a girl who never misses a chance to tumble, twirl, and leap through life! And, let’s be honest, London is overflowing with amazing ballet opportunities, from iconic theatres to cosy studios.

First, a ballet class, of course! I was lucky enough to join a lovely, light and airy studio with incredible, supportive teachers. And I don't just talk about the moves and technique, I mean the positive vibe of encouragement, something very dear to my heart. So much so, that I am seriously thinking of running my own tutu inspired classes back home in Derbyshire!

And after stretching my limbs in the sunshine of the studio, we’re on the hunt for the grand ballet theatres, the epitome of glamour! I know many think ballet is all about tradition, the posh old halls of Covent Garden and so on, but, darling, London is a hotbed of talent, fresh new dance styles and amazing stories that take to the stage in the most innovative ways! From modern theatre pieces, with daring costumes and intricate set designs, to street dancers putting a fresh spin on classics.

We walked on and around Westminster, pausing for selfies in front of Big Ben (a cheeky pic with a tutu on is a must for any London adventure, trust me) and Big Ben’s fabulous and ornate clock. We then continued to Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery. We stopped in a sweet little tea shop, taking in the charm and vintage appeal of the setting while drinking the most delicate china cups of tea I’ve ever tasted. We chatted about the latest dance releases, reminisced about my first tutu, and I told them all about my blog, of course. It’s lovely, this little dance world I’ve built. My own world. My own pink, twirling universe.

Oh! And we saw the cutest squirrel - I do have a weakness for all wildlife. I almost went "Aww!" out loud as I gave him my final breadcrumb for the day - I have a thing about making animals smile - which is ironic, as you'll understand, as a squirrel's "smile" is more a sign of a busy nose twitching for treats! Anyway, my afternoon stroll around Westminster had to come to an end. I love the energy, the architecture and of course the amazing history surrounding these incredible streets! My aim is to one day tour around London on horseback in full-blown ballet garb. Picture this - the sunshine gleaming off my satin, my tulle catching the breeze as we trott along the paths of Regent’s Park. It might sound a little extravagant but a girl can dream. A girl can dream...

And speaking of dreams, this city never ceases to inspire me. So if you're feeling a bit lost in your day-to-day routine, and just want to add some pink and sparkle to your life, grab yourself a tutu, jump on the train (or, better yet, book yourself a carriage ride!) and come explore London. We'll have a wonderful time twirling through the streets together. And, just remember, darling, everything’s possible if you put on a tutu, have faith, and go for it.

Right, I’ll go now and start my new tutu creation! (There’s no such thing as too many tutus, darling) If you'd like me to do a post on how to create a tutu, please just let me know in the comments!

Until next time, my lovelies. Keep on twirling!
