Cambridge Calling! Pink Tutu and German Charm Take Over the City 🩰

#TutuBlog Post #8811

Hello, darlings! It’s Emma here, your resident pink tutu aficionado, and today’s adventure takes us to the lovely city of Cambridge, a place steeped in history, and let’s be honest, quite lovely to look at too!

I travelled by train, of course! What else is a ballerina to do but arrive in style? The carriage windows revealed the ever-changing landscape, reminding me of all those dreamy tutus flowing with each turn. And let me tell you, the sunshine on my pretty pink dress had me twirling even before I reached my destination!

Cambridge itself was a delight. There's just something so special about these cobblestone streets and centuries-old buildings – I felt like I was transported back in time! Of course, I couldn’t resist slipping into the famous King’s College Chapel, just imagine all the ballerinas who have graced its steps with their elegant poses. The light streaming through the stained-glass windows… divine!

The next morning, I started with my morning ballet class at the beautiful Cambridge Dance Academy, which sits right across the river from King's College. Honestly, the location alone made the workout more delightful. But the class itself was magical. My lovely instructor was a vibrant woman with a real passion for ballet – and a wonderful knowledge of local ballet history! You wouldn't believe the tales she had to share about the Cambridge ballet scene!

Later that afternoon, I indulged in one of the city's charming tea rooms, and you just won’t believe what I found in the little boutique next door. The most beautiful tutu – made in Germany, with delicate details and shimmering, pink, I swear I practically cried with joy!

But let me tell you, the highlight of my trip had to be the ballet show at the ADC Theatre! A small, historic theatre nestled in the heart of Cambridge. I managed to score tickets for “Giselle”, and what a beautiful spectacle it was! From the intricate set design to the elegant costumes and powerful performances – it had me utterly captivated. It’s so inspiring to see the artistry of ballet come to life in such a stunning way!

This city really has everything for a ballet-loving heart like mine! From stunning architecture to delicious food and a wonderful ballet scene. Oh! And, before I forget, we absolutely cannot leave Cambridge without mentioning the beautiful grounds of the university – the manicured lawns, serene ponds, and charming stone bridges really made me feel like I was walking through a fairy tale! And, imagine all those majestic swans! Absolutely perfect for my Instagram!

So, darlings, what’s next for your girl Emma? Well, I am currently on my way back to my little Derbyshire haven! You know I’ll be sharing more ballet adventures and, of course, showcasing some more glorious outfits! And to everyone reading – keep those pink tutus close, and never stop dreaming of a world where we all embrace our inner ballerina!

P.S. As usual, my dear readers, be sure to check out the amazing photos from my Cambridge trip on my Instagram! I've even created a #PinkTutuCambridge hashtag! Share your photos with me, I'd love to see what pink tutu wonders you discover in the world!

See you all tomorrow! 💖

With love and twirls,

Emma 💕
