Llanelli - Where Pink Tutues and Wild Ponies Roam! 🩰

Hey lovely lot! It’s Emma here, back with you for another pink and sparkly post from www.pink-tutu.com.

Today marks a big milestone! Post number 8960! Can you believe it? Over 8960 days of tutu-fied adventures! And what an adventure it’s been!

This time, I'm writing to you from the heart of Wales – Llanelli! A charming little town nestled amongst rolling hills and whispering winds, it's been an absolute treat to explore, with its charming Victorian architecture, lively markets, and, oh my, the wildlife! More on that later, darling…

Let's get straight to the main attraction: I've got to show you my fabulous new tutu! 🎀

This little beauty arrived right before I set off for Wales, and it’s the perfect mix of modern and traditional. The bodice is a classic ballet white, adorned with delicate lace. But then BAM! It flares out into this fabulous skirt of bubblegum pink tulle, making it both whimsical and dramatic. Just like me! 💁🏼‍♀️

Oh, and the best part? It's a German tutu! I adore German tutus - they have the most beautiful flowing shapes, so ethereal and airy, just like a ballerina should be, don't you think?

The Pinkest Ponies Ever

But let’s be honest, darling, the real star of this trip was the magnificent New Forest ponies roaming wild in Llanelli. Oh my, these furry little sweeties are absolutely magical! I just HAD to have a proper Welsh Pony experience. 🐎

And oh, my darling, let me tell you: It was truly a magical moment. You can’t even imagine the joy of spending a glorious afternoon riding through rolling green fields, the fresh Welsh air in my face, with these gorgeous, sturdy little ponies beneath me. And guess what, they’re even a touch pink, especially when the sun catches their coat!

A Pink Tutu Day Out in Llanelli

My little Llanelli escapade had it all!

First up was a pit stop at Llanelli Market (after a delicious cream tea, of course!). You wouldn't believe the beautiful crafts they have on offer. I found some handmade lavender-scented soaps, the perfect little gift for my Mum. There's always so much beauty to be found in markets, wouldn't you agree? They remind me of the stage – everyone has their own little world on display, just waiting for you to come and discover it!

My next stop was the Llanelli Library where I went searching for some inspiration. There is nothing quite like being surrounded by stories – both old and new – that really get those creative juices flowing. I spent the afternoon curled up with a captivating Welsh fairytale. Imagine my surprise when it was actually about a young woman who becomes a ballet dancer and then joins a travelling circus! Who knew Welsh fairytales were so dramatic?!

That evening, I discovered the most enchanting little cafe. A true little jewel with pastel-pink walls, adorned with a breathtaking collection of ballet posters and, to my delight, an adorable ballerina tea set. A perfect blend of comfort and femininity, if you ask me. I savored my herbal tea while flipping through the cafe's book collection – you know me, I always gotta sneak in some reading time!

And now, my loves, the grand finale: I couldn't leave Llanelli without enjoying the world famous Llanelli Waterfront, with its stunning vistas of the bay and the harbour. This seaside paradise with its long, white sands, sparkling turquoise waters, and the promise of sea breezes whispering through your hair is simply idyllic!

Imagine it, darling, strolling along the beach, feeling the warmth of the sun on my face, the gentle rhythm of the waves echoing my heart’s desire: To make the world a little more pink, a little more twirly, a little more ballet!

Of course, I had to bring out my pink tutu! 🎀 After all, every destination is a chance for a dance!

My tutu was an instant hit with the locals - we laughed, we danced, we spread some sunshine and joy. And who wouldn't want a bit of that in their life, right?

**P.S. If you're ever in the mood for a twirling escape to Llanelli, I can recommend some of my favourite spots:

  • Llanelli’s Theatr Elli is a delightful venue for some classic Welsh performances. And what's a performance without a tutu to admire?

  • The National Botanic Garden of Wales is absolutely gorgeous - they have a spectacular Japanese Garden! The perfect spot to practice those ‘en pointe’ leaps and jumps! You can almost imagine a delicate pink ballet dancer gliding across the koi ponds in a haze of sunshine, just like me! ✨

*My dearest ballet bunnies, if you ever visit Wales, you must make a detour to this vibrant, heart-warming place! It's full of Welsh charm, breathtaking scenery, and oh, so much room for a little twirling and pink fun. Remember: *Don’t be shy, grab your tutu, and dance your way through Llanelli! 💖

Til next time, my lovelies! ✨
