Hove Hooray! Post 9091: Pink Tutu Adventures on the South Coast 🩰💖

Hey my darlings! It's Emma here, back with another daily dose of pink and twirls from www.pink-tutu.com! Today, I'm buzzing because I've been exploring the seaside haven of Hove. It’s been a long time since I've ventured down to the South Coast and you know what? It’s just as lovely as I remember, with a sprinkle of that charming seaside charm that's been making me wish I was wearing a bright, sunshine yellow tutu!

But wait… did I say "sunshine yellow"? 🤭 This is Pink Tutu, after all! I was absolutely rocking my favourite pink tutu – you know, the one with the sequined ruffles, perfect for twirling along the seafront promenade.

Before heading to the coast, I had the absolute pleasure of a glorious morning ballet class. Nothing like starting the day with graceful plies, delicate port de bras, and pirouettes to get the blood pumping and the happy hormones flowing. You know I just can't resist wearing my pink tutu even for class! My Derbyshire countryside may be beautiful, but sometimes I really do miss the feeling of salty air on my skin and that iconic Brighton seafront vibe!

Train Adventures & Brighton Bound

I'm all about eco-friendly travel, so my journey to Hove was via the good old steam train. Now, I know what you're thinking – "Isn't that awfully old-fashioned?" But there's nothing quite as enchanting as settling into a comfy carriage, listening to the rhythmic clatter of the tracks, and soaking up the passing scenery. Plus, it's the perfect opportunity for some spontaneous ballet stretches. I mean, how can you resist a good barre along the aisle of a train, even if you do get a few confused stares? I may have had to tone down the grand jeté to avoid any unfortunate collisions with fellow passengers.

My trip was also an excuse to go into Brighton. You know Brighton is basically like a little bit of London, without the busyness – except that all the people that come down for the weekend do add to the buzz.

I was determined to embrace Brighton’s unique street art scene – imagine an outdoor gallery in every alleyway! And yes, of course, I had my trusty camera at the ready to capture it all – especially that gorgeous giant mural of a dancer, seemingly leaping out of a wall! I simply had to grab a selfie with it! The colours and styles were vibrant and fun and the whole atmosphere just makes you want to throw your hands in the air and do a big celebratory fouetté, which I very nearly did!

Ballet on the Beach and a Mermaid Tale

But no trip to Hove would be complete without a walk along the beach. With my tutu billowing gently in the seaside breeze (and feeling rather fabulous if I may say so), I spent some time enjoying the crisp air, watching the seagulls soar above, and marveling at the vastness of the ocean.

Oh, and let's not forget about the little mermaid tale I found myself in! I noticed a group of girls on the beach giggling and pointing at the shore. "Look, it’s the Little Mermaid!," they squealed, gesturing at… me. 🙈 Now, while I wasn't exactly dressed as the Disney character, I do have a soft spot for mermaid costumes, with their flowing tulle and whimsical details. I just couldn't resist doing a little twirl and playing along. Their bright smiles and amazed giggles really did make my day!

And my darling readers, you know what’s next… I’m heading straight back to Derbyshire, to get ready for my daily dance class, inspired by all the wonders of this coastal adventure.

Stay tuned for more twirling fun, lovely outfits and pink inspiration. I promise I'll share more stories from my adventures - perhaps even the next stop for a pink tutu travel escapade!

Until then, my lovelies!

xx Emma
