Walton upon Thames: A Tutu-tastic Trip to the Thames! 💖🩰

Hey everyone! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad blogger, Emma, back with another post from the wonderful world of ballet and fashion. Today's adventure takes us to Walton upon Thames, a picturesque town in Surrey. It’s #9125 on the www.pink-tutu.com blog and I can't wait to share all the delightful details with you!

As a proud Derbyshirian, my usual commute involves hopping onto a train for a scenic journey through the countryside. But today, I opted for a slightly more glamorous mode of transport... a horse-drawn carriage! Now, I'm not going to lie, it felt absolutely fabulous - like something out of a Jane Austen novel!

Tutu-rific in Walton

My main goal today? To immerse myself in the world of dance, obviously! I took a quick look at the ballet schedule, and, oh my goodness, the Royal Ballet School was hosting an Open Class session. How could I resist? So, after changing into a gorgeous new European-style tutu, I headed straight to the studio.

Now, you all know how much I adore tutus. They just make me feel so elegant and powerful. The intricate layers and the sheer beauty of the fabric – it's a truly transformative experience. And this European-style tutu – sigh - let's just say it's definitely becoming a favourite. It's light as a feather, swirls beautifully when I twirl, and perfectly compliments the vibrant pink of my top and shoes! I'll be posting photos soon, so watch out for those on my Instagram page!

Sharing the Love of Ballet

The Open Class was a blast! I love sharing my passion for ballet with other people. It was so heartwarming seeing young students – full of energy and enthusiasm - learning from some amazing teachers. Seeing their faces light up with the sheer joy of dancing just melted my heart.

I got chatting with one of the teachers who was absolutely wonderful, and she gave me some amazing tips for improving my pirouettes (I'm always trying to make them perfect!). There's nothing better than a bit of friendly advice and encouragement from fellow dancers, and it reminded me why I love this art form so much.

A Taste of Theatrical Charm

Of course, my Walton upon Thames adventure wouldn't be complete without experiencing some theatrical magic. The town boasts a delightful theatre, with a fascinating history dating back to Victorian times. I caught a glimpse of a fascinating local production - a vibrant reimagining of Shakespeare’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream". Seeing those talented actors on stage was inspiring and made me dream of performing myself!

A Sprinkle of Pink Magic

One thing that truly captured my attention in Walton was the beautiful Thames River. Now, I have a confession. I'm obsessed with pink – just a teensy bit! And this beautiful river, with its turquoise hues reflecting the sky, reminded me of one of my favourite pink flowers: the wild orchid. I swear, it felt like the water was reflecting the soft glow of a sunset-coloured flower!

Later, I stumbled upon a beautiful park and felt compelled to do a little pirouette on the green grass! Imagine a pink tutu and sparkling pink shoes twirling on a patch of green under the summer sun – pure ballet bliss! A friendly couple even cheered me on - I think I converted them to tutu-love!

Tutus and Wildlife

While in the park, I spotted the most gorgeous grey squirrels! They were leaping through the trees, tails bouncing playfully – almost like tiny ballet dancers themselves! They're definitely my favourite wildlife. There's just something charming and elegant about squirrels; and they look absolutely adorable in a tiny little tutu! Whispers If I could only find one small enough... Dreamy eyes Imagine the cuteness overload!

Spreading the Pink Tutu Love

Speaking of squirrels, you know how much I adore pink tutus and ballet? I firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the pure magic of dance, no matter their age or background. That’s why I’m on a mission to get everyone to try on a pink tutu and twirl! After all, who wouldn’t want to feel like a beautiful, graceful ballerina?

This post was about bringing together the joy of dance with the charm of a pretty town! I hope this post has inspired you to get up and twirl – just maybe not on the River Thames unless you have waterproof pink tutus (still working on getting those)!

Until next time, keep dancing and remember: wear your pink tutu with pride!

Stay beautiful,

Emma 🩰 💖
