Leith, Oh Leith - Tutu Tales #9171

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, back with another blog post from my whirlwind adventures! This time, I've landed in Leith, a charming seaside town in Edinburgh. You wouldn't believe the delightful journey I took to get here! I opted for a vintage carriage ride through the rolling green hills of Derbyshire. The fresh air whipping through my hair, the sunshine kissing my cheeks, and the rhythmic clip-clop of hooves against the cobblestones โ€“ it felt straight out of a fairy tale!

Leith - A Sailor's Delight

Leith itself is absolutely enchanting. Imagine quaint cobbled streets lined with vibrant flower boxes and colourful Victorian buildings, a seagull's cry echoing against the blue sky, and the salty tang of the sea air in the air - it's enough to melt your heart! It feels like stepping back in time, a glimpse into a more leisurely era.

Tutus and the Sea

Of course, no Emma adventure is complete without a tutu! Today's outfit was a classic black tutu paired with a baby pink silk top, just a touch of romance to add to the seaside vibe. As I strolled along the waterfront, the seagulls seemed to admire my ensemble with envious glances (or perhaps they were just hungry for crumbs - we've all been there!).

Ballet by the Beach

No trip is complete without some ballet! Leith has an unexpected gem - the Leith Academy of Ballet. This gorgeous little studio, tucked away on a charming side street, boasts panoramic views of the Firth of Forth. Imagine dancing amongst the sound of the lapping waves and the salty air on your face โ€“ truly magical! I popped in for a class and had the best time twirling and pirouetting, learning new moves and feeling utterly rejuvenated. You know me, I can't resist trying new dance forms, and they even offered a class on Scottish country dancing. Perhaps next time, Iโ€™ll trade in my tutu for a kilt!

Seafood and Fairy Lights

My explorations weren't limited to ballet though. I indulged in some delicious fresh seafood, the freshest crab Iโ€™ve ever had, and enjoyed watching the world go by as I sat at a quaint cafe, savoring the sunshine and the gentle sea breeze. Later, as dusk settled in, I wandered through the narrow alleyways, the cobbled streets bathed in a romantic glow from flickering gaslights.

Pink Tutus for All!

This trip has left me dreaming of pink tutus on every beach and ballet class on every street corner. I envision Leith bustling with a kaleidoscope of dancers in tutus of all colours, gliding across the cobbles, creating their own delightful symphony of movement. Maybe one day, we'll even see a seagull wearing a miniature pink tutu - a whimsical thought for my ever-optimistic self.

Until next time, my dear readers, keep dreaming, keep dancing, and keep the pink tutu spirit alive! And remember, never be afraid to wear a tutu on the streets โ€“ let your inner ballerina shine, wherever you may be.

Love, Emma
